Friendly tip: you really don’t need the 3rd hole/fitting. You can come out of both tanks and tee into one pipe to the pump. They will both fill and empty equally.

Why not use an IBC tank? They hold more water, and are cheap... Also, what's with the pulsing the drill and holesaw on and off? Idiots do it that way. Rather than using a broom handle, use a garden hose to poke through the drilled hole, and slide the fitting down the hose and into the hole. Your way worked, but a hose will bend and that's easier. IBC tanks are cheap, since companies ship liquids around and often have them surplus for low costs. I can get a 250 gallon IBC in FL for $100 or so.
