Would you like to find out whether your higher education qualification is comparable to a German qualification? Use the anabin database of the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB). In our explanatory video, we show you how to find and compare your university and degree using two examples.

Good afternoon. My university is marked as H+ . When searching in the name of the degree, the declension in one of the words is different. Also, when viewing after clicking on the + sign to view detailed information, in the Name der Institution section, the name of another educational institution in my city is displayed. With these distinctions, are my qualifications equivalent?

hi my university is recognized H+ (Pakistan) but when i search for my degree MBA 2 years the university name is not showing there ? do i need ZAB ? or i can take the printout of H+ and degree equivalent to bachelor degree 3 years

Hello, I have a question. I am an economist from Colombia. My university (Los Andes, the one in the example) is classified as H+. Also when I search my degree "Economist or economista" I find that it classifies as a "Bakkalaureus/Bachelor 4j". However, in this search, in the "awarding institutions" my University does not appear. In this case, do I have to request a statement of comparability? Or is the anabin database is enough to apply for a masters in Germany or to search for a skilled job?

Hasta donde tengo entendido, Anabin esta desactializado,por lo tanto no es necesario que tu pregrado aparezca ahi. Hay demasiados programas que no aparecen debajo en las instituciones. Solo es necesario que la universidad y tu titulo tengan el simbolo H+

Hi, first thank you for this video. I have a question. I'm Veterinary (Tierarzt) and I live in Turkey. My university has been recognized by the Anabin (H+) But there isn't Bewertung part in my job. I see only Beschreibung and Verleihende Institutionen parts. What does that mean exactly?

Hi Mustafa Sarıca, thank you for your feedback! 😊 The profession of veterinary surgeon is regulated in Germany, which means that you must have your profession recognised in order to be allowed to work in Germany. Anabin is not the right webiste to get information about this. Instead, check out www.anerkennung-in-deutschland.de/html/tr/index.php (turkish language) for your profession. Hi, I have a question. My university is marked as H+ and my education is classified as entschpricht. Also, as I would apply for visa as a pharmacist in pharma industry with contract I just got from my future employer, I've checked that that job is not regulated. Do I need any additional proof for comparability, besides the information from anabin? Thank you in advance.

Dear Natalija Stanković, are you sure that the profession of pharmacist is not regulated in Germany? You can check this on the webpage of "Anerkennung in Deutschland" ➡️ www.anerkennung-in-deutschland.de/html/en/index.php If this is the case, then yes the proof of anabin is enough for the visa. For a jobseeker's visa, your need also to prove you can cover your costs of living, since you are not able to enter into remunerated employment during this time. Proof of being able to cover living costs can be provided in the form of a blocked account or a Declaration of Commitment. Hi, not all foreign academic degrees or universities are listed in the anabin database. In certain cases, an individual Statement of Comparability is required. For this, you can contact the ZAB by mail: zabservice@kmk.org. Best regards, Make it in Germany
