Explaining Morel Mackernasey's Nen Abilities (Deep Purple + Smoky Jail) | Hunter X Hunter Explained

Headcanon: to increase is Aura and lung capacity, Morel gave up his eyes. He just uses nen to perceive things.

Or he made it so that he can only generate hatsu through his pipe.

@@ojaman7144 that would change the strength of his hatsu. Basically, he could have done both although I don't think the pipe has anything to do with his Aura amount. Think of it more like Kurapika using both the condition of using his chain only on phantom troupe to make it stronger as well as using crimson eyes to make him a specialist. Mutually exclusive conditions that both exist on the same character.. Although my main comment was partially a joke.

@@LeoBeastmode The pipe is the overarching Condition for his smoke manipulation, he can't create more Deep Purple constructs or use Smoky Jail's without the pipe. Only one of Kurapika's chains is limited to the Phantom Troupe, and the crimson eyes aren't a Nen ability. When his eyes turn scarlet he becomes a Specialist, that's an innate skill not a Condition.

Morel is my favorite, the dude is incredibly low key and underrated, but so strategic and powerful. He has one of the largest reserves of aura as well, at least amongst the humans and is versatile as hell with his hatsu. Dude is an all around powerhouse.

Yeah but take out his weapon and he can't use hatsu. That's a pretty big disadvantage. Kurapika was able to go toe to toe with arguably the strongest phantom troupe member (physically) but Killua and Gon wouldn't even be able to deal with someone like Paku or Shizuku. They learned nen at the same time so the only difference was hatsu. With hatsu, Killua and Gon was able to get to pass the test for greed island, which they would have otherwise failed. We haven't seen him fight much without the weapon, and I wouldn't be surprised if he is weaker than god speed Killua (who learned nen 2 years ago) without his weapon.

@@ismailfaalih9559 With Kurapika, his abilities are fantastic, even OP when it comes to the Spiders but he's maybe only a little above average otherwise (as of Yorknew). He lasted in hand to hand vs. Uvogin because he consistently threw surprises at him and quickly wrapped him in zetsu. If they continued a nen-powered hand-to hand fight then Uvogin would eventually dominate him. And Morel is definitely at a disadvantage without his pipe, but he's far from helpless. He showed that he's an all around threat: smart, powerful, analytical, and tactical, all on the fly. I don't see many situations where he lets his enemy take his weapon from him. Plus, it's doubtful we've seen all of his abilities. I'm sure he crafted some backup hatsu for if he ever loses his pipe. In his fight with Youpi, he was exhausted after constant battles with Ant leaders and Royal Guards and had way less than 35% of his total power. At full power, it's possible he'd have access to more options we didn't see. It's also possible he didn't see it because it wouldn't do much to a Royal Guard level fighter. It's doubtful any of the characters remaining in the story are currently at that level.

Where did you get the idea of Morel having one of the largest reserves of aura, when most of the characters' aura reserves are still unknown to us?

@// Knuckle literally mentioned that Morel has the biggest aura reserves he has ever seen amounting to 70000 aura units before meeting Youpi. And during the palace invasion, Morel stated he was left with 35% of his power due to continues fights he had. It is a big underestimation to assume without his pipe he would be weaker than the godspeed Killua. Tsubone a butler was even able to tail the godspeed Killua and confidently said she could knock out Killua when it's needed. How much more if it's Morel, a seasoned hunter with those feats mentioned.

Cookie consists of Conjuration, Transmutation, and Emission. Biscuit conjures a human being and gives her access to Bisky's transmuted and emitted lotion. The lotion is implemented into Cookie's various massages, which have a variety of effects.
