The easiest way i think to get it implemented would be to convert current diesel electric to hydrogen. Swap out engine and fuel tanks for fuel cell and hydrogen tanks.

I expect if all trains went to hydrogen. We will see it happen in the vehicle business. Already their is a roll out date for hydrogen farm tractors dealing another blow to Diesel fuel industry.

well trains run on a designated path, so we can just put overhead wires which are more efficient and low maintenance and safer, the fule wouldn't be required to carry and you can just directly use electricity, wait did I just reinvent conventional rail

I sort of agree with this, but one problem. When you spoke about hydrogen being the future replacement of all fossil fuels, what do you mean exactly? How? I'm not criticizing you or anything, I'm just asking how you'd create hydrogen-based engines for the cars and vehicles of today.

The fuel cell is a device that produces electricity. you need batteries on board to store it. Later on you can choose to switch between the battery and the FC when OHE is not available.

no it is used by Germany. the train has 2 coaches and has maximum speed of 140 Km/h.

Hydrogen fuel cell trains make no sense, since one can already electrify its infrastructure. Commercial size Planes and Ships are more practical for hydrogen usage.

I wouldn´t say it´s a clean energy. How much energy is needed to produce the H2?. Well, at the moment a lot. And it´s not always clean.

It is possible in this time of huge technological advancement. But safety risks still exist mainly because hydrogen is more inflammable than diesel and unlike diesel, a tiny spark is enough to ignite it spontaneously.

I think hydrogen and natural gas fuel trucks will end the truck Diesel business. Their will be tax credits or tax reductions for trucking owners and companies to convert to hydrogen and Natural gas. This hydrogen movement will also rethink how electric vehicles aren't realistic and they can be rebuilt for hydrogen. Tesla will likely end the auto business to end its controversial business practices. It can even thrive beyond the auto business.

water vapour is the only emission, water and renewables electricity the best input.

You fill it up at a refilling station. Hydrogen can be made using electrolysis of water using solar energy.

carrying "fuel" will degrade the performance of the train, this is a setback let the train keep running on the existing electrification track without carrying "fuel", the train is not a vehicle that can freely move off the track just focus on changing the power plant to be "greener"

The hydrogen train in my area (I think it was the first one to be deployed) runs on tracks which aren't electrified and would be very hard to electrify. This technology isn't meant as a replacement to electrified tracks, but for sections where electrification just isn't feasible.
