Built in the very late 1800s, this old small farm house resides on an abandoned property that was once a State School / Hospital. It was said this house was for the staff of the institution. Today, the place is in rough shape as you can see. The entire front has collapsed and it is unsafe to enter. I did not tour this house due to current conditions but it historical value is why it makes it on my channel. Enjoy

Looks like the part still standing may be the original stone home, while the fallen section was a wooden addition.

LOL, I haven't heard that type of fire alarm in 20 years. My neighborhood had one of those, and it always blew at 7PM for curfew for kids. But, being really young and not understanding, we would call it "The Awe" and were terrified of it. We would run around our yard, grab up our toys, and run inside. :)

Short but great video. Good decision to just look inside from the outside; fascinating place but unstable. If I'm rightly interpreting what I saw, the frame section of the house has fallen in and fallen away; I think the stone walls will last a while. I'm going to have to look at the additional photos and the history of the house; I'm wondering if the frame section was added later or if it was built at the same. Looks to have been the home of someone prosperous judging by the size. I think I saw inside where one of those boards had been that would run along the wall about three feet up. Chair rail, I think they may have been called. Great old house here.
