Highlights from our overnight backpacking trip to Coyote Gulch! Can be done as a backpacking trip or in One Day. Here's a detailed post about this route: ourinfiniteearth.com/guide-to...
This amazingly beautiful canyon in southern Utah features towering canyon walls, Jacob Hamblin Arch, the Natural Bridge, a secret lagoon, Cliff Arch, Swiss Cheese Falls, and several other waterfalls.
We took the Water Tank route to Jacob Hamblin Arch which requires Class 5 Friction rock climbing.

Hey! Swiss Cheese Falls - a suitable name for the place. Beautiful places that Natural Bridge, and "Secret "Lagoon. Very different landscapes than we have in Finland. Thanks for sharing video!

Hello. Thanks for the information and the great video. I have a question. How far is it to the drop from the trail head? Have a good evening.

If you're taking the water tank route like we did, the rock face where you drop into the canyon is about 100-150ft drop. We put together a detailed post with everything you need to know about this trip here: ourinfiniteearth.com/travel-destinations/american-southwest/guide-to-coyote-gulch/

How did you know what direction to go once in Coyote gulch to reach the arch? Also we’re there any branches to the gulch or was it all one way to see everything?

It was 200ft which was more than enough. 150ft would be totally fine

@@ourinfiniteearth would i need a 4x4 car or would my compact car do fine on the drive there?
@ourinfiniteearth
@ourinfiniteearth 2 жыл бұрын
@@rosiehernandez4194 Depends on the weather. We were able to make the drive in our Prius just fine, but we also had to cut our trip short by a day because it was going to rain and we didn't think that it was a good idea to try to drive the dirt road in our Prius.

So you really do need a rope in order to get down there? Is there any other way to get down there
@ourinfiniteearth
@ourinfiniteearth Жыл бұрын
Yes you need a rope. It’s a very steep rock face.

Yep - took the water tour route both ways, which means going down and then back up the rock face.

@@ourinfiniteearth did you leave the rope hanging there?
@ourinfiniteearth
@ourinfiniteearth 4 жыл бұрын
@@nicolefath6230 While we were down in the canyon, yes. I think it would be impossible to undo the tie around the hole in the rock from the bottom. It was still there when we came back a few days later (and others were using it) and when we left then we took it out with us. When we first got there and went down someone else's rope was also there, but it was gone when we went back up, so they must have taken theirs and it was a good thing we had brought and tied off our own, otherwise there would have been no rope for getting back up!
