that staircase is definitely something, scary too. Must have been something to see how it was constructed. I don't think I would be able to explore places like that and no way would I have survived being stationed there.

When I used to live in Hawaii they had bunkers similar to theses on many hikes, everyone including the locals just called them moon boxes or pill boxes. On coco head (or diamond head I can’t remember) there are several parts where you walk through what used to be a tunnel/bunker where some parts are blocked off.

I laughed my butt off when the tunnel shrank and you called it "italian sized" Definately interesting sights to see.

Sucks to go from having the time of your life exploring these cool bunkers to stepping on some 70 year old UXO lol. Thats a gnarly ass staircase lol. Reminds me of my childhood in europe,finding and exploring these ww2 bunkers .

Super narrow corridors and the flimsiest concrete spiral staircase I've ever seen with the unique opportunity to hit every turn as you fall down the middle 😂 The designer was nuts...

in Zadar there is a lot of bunkers and they are really cool you can go to musapstan a lot of bunkers❤️

Very Cool Italian Bunker. The Italians really did a lot of nice Finish work in there with the nicely arched ceilings and smooth walled surfaces, that took some effort. That spiral staircase looked a bit concerning though. The Concrete did not look very thick at all, they must have had some kind of rebar or something to reinforce the Concrete, I hope? In the area that you said still live munitions under foot, I noticed that the Ceilings and most of the walls were still intact. looks like that might have been filled in with rubble from another part of the Tunnel System possibly? One area it looked like maybe there were some Brick walls which created a Roomm at one time, which looked to be knocked down, that would explain all the loose Brick and mortar you had to climb over? All and all pretty Cool Italian Bunker. Thanks for sharing and keep up the Good Work.

Crazy my dad was a sicilian partersen n had a room full of machine guns still in the villar in tuscany Amari n his friends trimbollie they all served n came to australia in 54 i have some yougoslav friends too that was auwsum the 88 flak gun still works some milo tin shells be awedome to hear fire we did some rsl +, yep i seen metal wall ladderr but could be missed watching footing n it probly went to a veiw point the french line is crazy 250 miles n 16in depth if theres a nuke that one hS lots diesil motorgenarator looks operational blast doors seem fine crazy just sitting since 45 take care use some ropes incaze n markers n compass they do have colour code thanks i enjoyed the time n rhe submarine bunkers are still good to s ee the effort its worth the scanning for small things that could help if you were stuck from a nuke at least fuel .plants .chooks n l9ng life n solar n even dry batteriys you could get thru a few years watching for more future insights pigmy pete 64 sourh australia long way from spain sicily scotland n irland blood . I notice this bunker is clearly marked to help folks get out, not sure if thats just Croatias version of keepign the area safe but open to explore history, or if some other urban explorer took the time. Either way its a great thing they did.

So my burning question is this...Couldn't they have made the steps a little wider ??!!! I almost could not watch the spiral demon of death scene but I did. You are either super brave or super crazy to attempt to do what you do !! When you were first climbing up there looking for an entrance I was almost positive you would attempt to climb in through one of the turret holes. I have watched you squeeze yourself into openings not much bigger than that so...just kidding !! When scaling the spiral staircase with the camera angle it looked like you were walking on air, not even touching a step, that was creepy. I wonder if any of the soldiers had any uh, accidents. way too morbid a thought. All in all very interesting...once I found the link of course !!! Be safe (as you can be) and thanks for not detonating a bomb along the way. "Disclaimer, I may be stepping on live ordinance so" again I reiterate...be safe.

You need to get a real flashlight! Instead of that amazon trash. Get an Emisar D4 or even an Olight Baton or anything decent.

Davne 1974 ušao sam u taj objekt kroz otvor na krovu bojnice sa puznim stepenicama...imao sam 14 g....rasvjeta je bila baklja od katram papira.Izašao sam,gdje je tada bilo skladište plinskih boca,kojeg je čuvao naoružani čuvar ,,Sigurnosti,,.Izlaz nije bio ni upola urušen kao danas, cijelu su zonu obilazile patrole JNA.
