Exploring Savary Island, BC (Hawaii of the North)
This was a trip of epic proportions! 15 freedivers, two boats, 5 star off grid resort, world class seafood and endless beaches.
On this trip, a group of us were invited to Savary Island, BC to stay at The Savary Island Resort. It's hard to put into words (and video) how truly awesome our stay was. Thanks so much Samantha for opening up your space to us and thanks ‪@WatermanSurin‬ for the hookup. I hope you all enjoy the edit!

Important note. This trip was during the May long weekend before the fire ban.

Hiya - just strolling by at the moment to leave a comment to see if you by chance heard about the Bluefin tuna on Orcas Island just found. World ocean currents are no joke -- absolutely we technically should have way more sharks here by now with climate change all affecting of various oceans-seas. I follow SeaDoc Society and they just posted on YT that a BLUEFIN tuna was found dead with video. Be back soon to watch--leaving a comment and like to push that infamous YT algo !!

It was epic. The biggest perk of KZfaq is being able to go back and revisit those moments. I forgot a lot of those clips until I saw them again. It's crazy how life comes and goes in the blink of an eye. Thank god for video cameras.

The bird at 21:00 doing the funky chicken was a Killdeer doing a broken wing display, where they pretend to be injured a make a big scene to get potential predators to follow them away from their nest. Their eggs are super camoflouged and laid directly on the ground but next time you see that, if you take the time to look around you may find the nest

Wow crazy! I appreciate the insight. I would never have guessed. I feel bad though, I can only assume it thought I was a threat. I'm happy I didn't crush any eggs.

In my 20s we spent 5 weeks on Savory island....the nimbis had just enacted no water available accessible to visitors......bored teens on summer holidays on the beach were more than happy to bring jugs of water for good kush pre rolls😅

Haha those damn nimbys! Funny story, we found a backpack loaded with weed and liquor on the side of the road. Probably 2 or 3 ounces. We left it there and it still hadn't been picked up by the time we left. Must have fallen off a truck or something! I bet someone was disappointed haha 😬

I grew up on the Puget Sound outside Seattle in The 70's and 80's. I love your videos of remote British Columbia. They remind me of what it was like in the 70's on The Hood Canal and Bremerton. The Pacific North West is some of God's most Majestic work. Being in it enjoying its abundance and glory is so humbling. Praise Jesus Christ and God Bless you and your family ✝️🙏😇
