Hoodoos are an interesting geological formation that can be found in many places throughout British Columbia. They are formed from the erosion of wind and rain over time, which cause the rock formations.
We take a hike to the Fairmont Kootenay Hoodoos to look at how they erode and form over time. The top of the plateau offers amazing views of the rocky mountians and surrounding valley.
Fairmont Hotsprings is also nearby as well as many golf courses. The hoodoo hike is one of a few that can be done in the region. The plateaus eroding is what causes these formations. Keep an eye out when you're driving next time.
