When you read “The fisherman claims the town has a God Shaped Hole in it” I choked on my drink, The Hanged King is one of those SCPs that’s always stood out for me, so hearing it referenced as being a very monumental diety here genuinely shocked me.

Imagine you see a trash can knocked over in the street. Is it more likely that a human knocked it over, a car, a dog, or a grizzly bear? Probably one of the first two right? But you know that grizzly bears *have* knocked over trash cans in the past. You make probability judgements all the time. While you know chairs do collapse under people, you probably don't properly inspect every chair before sitting down. We almost never jump to the most extreme possibility, because being possible does not mean it is likely or even plausible. The truth is that in the SCP universe, probably ten thousand times it actually just is the wind. Yeah, that one time will get you, but you'll still assume it is the wind. Also, and I'm not sure about this point, but characters in SCP don't share our knowledge. Most of them will have limited information about reality benders due to clearance levels, or won't have read them yet. We jump to the assumption of badthing when reading SCP because we have an overview from behind the fourth wall. That doesn't mean it is normal or natural in that universe to have the same assumption unless you're O5 or ethics committee or something.

Pierre-François Casanova if it’s the one I heard about it’s only about the shy guy. A good character, but I’d prefer a show focusing on the foundation and all the SCP’s.

@@hamburglar1978 we already had issues founding the project. If it is a success bigger projects can be financed. Also shy guy is one of the most iconic figures in the SCP and visual/tangible enough to fit a wider audience. I just hope we don't get too stuck on some Foundation personnel (such as Bright, Clef, Kondraki....). While I do love some of them and 2480 is in need of Clef instead of doing a 12years war, I wouldn't like it if they were omnipresent.

Pierre-François Casanova I don’t mean just focusing on the dr’s. I’d like an all encompassing show focused on the staff, the drs, the scps and the D-class. I think the shy guy is great but I think he’d just make another horror movie focused on the monster, not the foundation. I think the movie “the cabin in the woods” would’ve been a great stepping stone for the universe.

@@hamburglar1978 true that however a good monster is how you can first capture an audience before going into psychological horror. Also the SCP universe is so wide now that doing so would take ages. However bits and pieces mixed here and there in a série episodic format could be nice especially when we see black mirror thrive that much. But to do that, we need money+competences+recognition. And those criteria are yet to be met as the community is still too small. (Not to mention the usage conditions from the wiki)

I know this is like a year later, but appart from the "god shaped hole" connexion with 2264, Calixto Narváez appears in both SCPs. I don't know if it means something, but it's curious. And in 2264, it's said he is a user of drugs, which makes sense with this SCP.

Yeah these videos are the shit! Great, interesting explanations, he picks out really good art to fit the video topic and good background music! If I were to introduce one of my friends to the SCP universe I’d probably start them out from here or TheVolgun I personally don’t like Eastside too much. I feel like his voice is a bit too monotonous, and at least from the handful of videos I’ve seen, he doesn’t make the slightest change to his voice when reading dialogue, which confuses me sometimes.

Then she would tell the authorities who is unlawfully gay and get tips from them since being gay before 1980's was illegal. That's how she would sustain herself untill writing Harry Potter.

I love this one. To me it seems like to opposite to the chair and the boats. The GOC having the right idea, and the foundation making the problem worse by trying to contain it.
