hey everyone welcome back to my channel! this week we’re doing another “exploring the world of” video (i think im titling it that but if i end up changing it disregard lmao) and this time we’re going to be exploring the world of terrible, awful mobile ads + game ads on youtube, facebook and instagram! i feel like ads in the past few years have become more and more wild, ESPECIALLY the ones for mobile games and i thought it could be fun to look at some and talk about how insanely weird most of them are because literally at least twice a day i see an ad on my phone that i cant believe was actually approved by the platform it’s advertising on lmao. with that being said im sure you guys all know this video is very much inspired by danny gonzalez’s awful game ads on instagram video and bad ad series in general he has on his channel so if you’ve already seen those, watch them again cause theyre really good!!! if you havent seen them deFO check them out i think he has at least three or more videos on them and theyre all really well done (ill link them as soon as i get home and can get to my laptop lol). anyWATS if youre interested in seeing the cringiest, weirdest and all around most confusing ads i’ve come across as of recent, buckle up because some of these are pure CHAOS.

The adds for “Lilly’s Garden” has nothing to do with the game, it’s one of those games where you connect icons (kinda like candy crush with different icons lol) and u get money to finish the giant garden lol 😂

Literally everyone in the higher comment as agreed with you that the adds grossly sexualize everyone. However as soon as one person said that it wasn't the sane kind of sexualization you went at them. Stop. Everyone agrees that sexualization is something that these adds are doing to everyone. But you commenting so many times, saying the same thing in the same condescending tone, makes it look like you're just looking to start fights.

Most people who say that isn't the same kind of sexualization where girls who think their suffering is greater than what men can ever experienced, they were gatekeeping. The fact you get the ad showing something and then there’s the popup of the game’s App Store page to download it and you can see in the preview that it’s something else! Like YOU made this popup, I just clicked the X or didn’t even do anything!😂

I've wanted to see someone talk about those crazy Lily's Garden ads for forever now! There's one where she's walking and sees a social media post from the guy who ran out on her. It's a picture of the two of them that's titled Thinking of You. She's happy but just at that moment she walks by a restaurant and the guy is on a romantic date with another woman. Then it's all, "Play Lily's Garden!"

There's also the ones that have some level one guy get betrayed by a girl (whom is for some reason always a gold digger because sexism rules I guess) and then he hits a tree to get gold (because yes that works I guess) and then he is level thirty and leaves his ex for dead and happy ending (because that makes sense I guess). Basically those ads that are nothing like actual gameplay.

The Gardenscapes ads are the weirdest: the game is a simple match-three game where you renovate a garden, but the ads are all about Austin the butler tied to a bed with furry handcuffs and dying in a house fire or freezing to death in Antarctica, and I’m just like...???
