Hey guys welcome back to my channel! today's video in my opinion has been a LONG time coming. if you've watched my videos before, you've probably noticed that sometimes i like to include a youtuber's merch when i'm talking about them for a video so i thought it would be fun to do a dedicated video on the youtuber merch industry in general. i'm sure you guys have noticed that in the past few years the world of youtuber merch has exploded and 9 times out of 10 any youtuber you come across probably has a merch line, and just as often it seems those merch lines are.... very interesting looking to say the least. for some reason it seems youtubers are a prime example of lazy merch, i don't know why that's the case but i thought it would be a fun video if we checked out some youtuber merch for ourselves and maybe we might just discover the worst youtuber merch of all.
in the video i had said that i asked for youtuber merch recommendations on instagram a few weeks ago but in actuality, it was a few months ago honestly (sorry for the delay lol), but i saved them from back then and you guys had sent a ton of great options for both good and bad merch that we'll be looking at! SO for today's video i thought we could look at the good, bad and the terrible youtuber merch options available and in general just explore the world of youtuber merch! some people sent the usual suspects like Jake Paul, James Charles, The Ace Family, David Dobrik, Haley Pham, Gabbie Hanna etc etc but there are also some other youtubers in here that actually surprised me when it came to their merch so hopefully you guys enjoy the video and of course let me know what you guys think of the merch in the comments if you want :)

@@centralcoast1328 don’t worry it’s not weird in of itself! i think what feels weird about situations like what op described is just the circumstances of making a family logo to put on merch for profit. it has no reason to exist besides branding the family as a good that can be sold to young people. your situation is vastly different and not weird at all! your family logo sounds very nice and it seems like you guys have a good time :)

There’s a lot of slightly smaller youtubers who use commissioned art (mostly from fanartists) for merch and it never fails to look good. Perhaps I’m biased but- fanartists are the best lol

Kurtis’ merch is my favorite especially his podcast merch. I also love Drew Gooden’s movie poster merch. I think both youtubers put a lot of effort into the design and it shows.

I've never bought KZfaqr merch, even from KZfaqrs I liked, because the whole idea is just??? It's not like being a fan of a band or a movie, it's just a PERSON. it's Person Awareness Merch.

My fave merch has to be Eddie Burback’s YIKES sweats he is selling right now. The design is so good, it’s a nod to Eddy without being overly in your face. I would also love to wear a sweatshirt that says yikes on it. I wish I was in the US and could afford it.

Putting "dysfunctional" on a merch is not nice or anything, it's actually quite disgusting. It's one of those "hey let's put mental problems or illnesses on our merch so we can have that trendy aesthetics". I get it, you were likely talking about design, but the text itself is quite problematic and i can't stand people like him who try to get profit out of things like that. Other than that, nice video

I just wanted to say that I really do appreciate the content you make, specifically, because it is enjoyable for me while actively and intently watching it, but also whilst I am passively listening to it while cleaning or more accurately sewing. I have been working on my design school application portfolio for the past few weeks, and for the last 24 hours, I have had your videos playing in the background as I work.
