I work at a PetSmart, and I absolutely HATE when I tell people what proper goldfish care is, but they come to me with that, "well I kept like a dozen of them in a 5g for two years, I think I know what I'm doing"

This is why we regulations like buying a gun when ppl buy pets. Make them go thru a course that makes sure you are able to properly take care of a pet, so not every idiot can get a pet and keep it in horrible conditions, feed it stuff that's bad for them (like fish with cats) or destroying ecosystems because "FiSh GoEs In wAtEr, iTs AlL tHe SaMe"

i actually do have three goldfish that are at least 21 years of age! they live in my backyard pond, and i inherited them from my parents. they bought the fish for their pond the summer before i was born.

It's actually normal for goldfish to live for that long in proper conditions, if not longer (i've heard of goldfish and koi that have lived for nearly 50 years).

2:20 so true I was at my cousins house and saw he has 2 goldfish living in a small bowl. One of them was just chilling at the bottom not moving while the other gasped for air at the surface. Told my aunt about it and she just waved her hand and said "they look fine, and we had them for few months now"

@@Ai-Deska oh no, nananah I'd be a horrible owner. I used to have fish as a kid. But it was my parents who mostly took care of them. So knowing how expensive the equipment is and how much care they need, Id never get a fish again (The fish I got were a gift from my aunt which I never even asked for XD I wanted a dog and got 2 goldfish, of course she got them in a glass bowl with a few decorative little rocks at the bottom and nothing else. My parents bought a proper tank with all equipment needed after we got them home)

I actually had a goldfish that lived around 13 years and, believe it or not, was *healthy*. Named him Jack and he was passed down from my eldest brother to me. We kept him in a 50 gal tank, either it was 50 gal or bigger, and he was healthy, only thing weird that happened to him is his orange coloring turned pale, my family think it was from the lights above the tank but Idk. Sadly he died from a disease he got when we tried to bring more fish into the tank :(. F for Jack P.S. Don't get fish from Home Depo

The air freshener you ate are typically just scent beads or gel beads it is a similar effect as orbees but are typically EVA (orbees are a polymer). They are also the most dangerous type of air freshener to consume because the prolonged release

I came across your channel by chance, I was watching a Caspersight reaction video and one of your shorts was featured. I need this cleared up for my own sanity. In your Giant Betta short there is as clear as day someone or something walking behind a tree at the start of the clip. Who was that? I have a pretty severely stunted goldfish that I got from my sister who was keeping it in 2.5 gallons. He's about 7 now, in a 30 gallon and much happier with his snail friend

Fish stores are literally the same. I asked the fish store owner if that tank with a in Arawana if the tank was was too small because he didn’t look very healthy and she got real offended. He couldn’t even turn around. She yelled at me saying “He’s been in here for seven years.” it died a month later.. I didn’t buy fish from the store because of that. I was new to fish keeping and knew better.

The goldfish isn't actually that small. I used to have the exact same filter pump you can see in the background, and that thing is *big* . This goldfish is probably a solid 6 inches.
