Emily Blunt is caught in an on-screen love triangle with Jon Hamm and Jamie Dornan in her new movie “Wild Mountain Thyme.” “Extra’s” Renee Bargh chatted with Emily and Jamie about the film, which is set in Ireland.
Emily, who is happily married to John Krasinski in real life, joked of working with Jon and Jamie, “sandwiched between perfection is really hard.”
Renee laughed, commenting on trying to tell her husband, “These are the two men who are going to be fighting over me, honey.” Emily revealed, “Honestly, John is so used to me having to make out with other men, he’s sort of immune to it at this point.”
“Wild Mountain Thyme” is in theaters and On Demand today.

How about Christopher Walkins accent. It’s bad, real bad. They couldn’t find an Irish actor? Stephen Rea for instance.

I didn't think this film was to bad - I'm irish and from not to far from where this film was set - I understand that the Irish accent is a hard one to do -and the Irish don't hold back in slating everyone that tries , but look past the accent and the film is cute and funny and in the style of great Irish playwriting. Would love to see this live on stage , it's a nice story !

I thought Walken was incredible, I loved his performance, I found this movie quite affecting. I don't think people would be attacking this film or the accents in it if reviewers hadn't panned the movie for reasons we do not know.

@@charoleawood agree. the movie is heartwarming, it has more issues like living on the farm, being confused with identity (Jamie's character thinking he's a bee), losing your parents, being left on her/his own, and not married at that age, and so on. I just don't know why the accent matters so much.

M O C Mr Grumpy. What a load of Tosh you've written. A large part of my family is Irish, A couple are actually from 'rural' Ireland, All were delighted with the movie! You obviously don't realise this is a MOVIE! IT IS NOT A FACTUAL DOCUMENTARY! The scenery is real....and breath-taking! The actors are superb! The music is absolutely perfect! There is comedy! (By the way, all the Irish people I know have a great, wicked sense of humour!) In these dour times it refreshing and uplifting, to get away from gruesome blood, guts and gore in a movie and not have your ears blasted with obscenely loud music!!!!! This movie is exactly what most people need after a very difficult year!!!!!! My love to all the Irish!

Hmmm well I dont know lad...im irish and not only does this seem to be universally hated in ireland but the director also said 'this movie is not for irish people' my grandad ran a farm in offaly ...ive friends who are farmers. This is not Ireland. This is an american idealised version of Ireland. Its funny because im not a big critic of movies in general. This movie though clearly ignores irish people and deliberately gives a distorted view. From my perspective. Anyway I suppose its good you got something out of it

I would love to see a decent portrayl of Ireland on screen. Its a pity we are a small country and cant make a lot of movies because it leads to false portrayls of Ireland from outside

Im sorry for commenting again but i find it hard to believe that any irish person would like this movie. I hope I dont offend you but this movie is the worst portrayl of Ireland ive seen. I get movies are not meant to be fact and all ...but this might as well be a fairytale in narnia

@@dubmait Yes it's a very small country, but it cannot be denied it has an enormous wealth of talent oozing out of it across the board, WMT can only draw Movie makers to Ireland and I certainly hope it does! @@monijay9732 sorry but I can't at all agree with your point about drawing movie directors to Ireland. The director of wild mountain thyme told dornan and blunt that this movie was made for americans and irish peopke would not like it. If he hadmade it innocently then fine but he deliberately made a movie he knew irish people would not like. I dont want directors coming in making the same mistakes. There are some great irish movie like "the commitments" , "the snapper" and others. However wild mountain thyme is a movie with bad accents out of date portrayls, and a bad director. The song wild mountain thyme is scottish as well.

@@Curious2Know2 This movie is as representative of modern Ireland as a 1960s Clint Eastwood western is representative of the modern USA. Meaning, not very. We don’t drive around in jeeps from 1950. We don’t wear shawls. We don’t walk around with dirt on our faces. We don’t smoke pipes. Almost nothing about this movie is representative of life in modern Ireland.

It starts out a bit cheesy, but the half hour kitchen dialogue scene by these two actors is brilliant. Worth watching to get to that part of the film. And, the scene between Walken and Jamie, when Walken is near death is great, as well.

Kickthespike Its a daft film if its anything like the play.but saying people should avoid it is over the top.At the end of the day the target market is not ireland. If an irish film crew did a film set in the southern USA most likely the accents would be completely butchered and it would be full of stereotypes of southern american culture.
