There's a reason why RC upgrades exist. Along with the joy of wrenching and customizing, the right hop ups definitely enhance performance and durability. HUGE shout out to M2C Racing for their incredible option parts!!!
Expect to see a plethora of new hardened steel upgrades as Mitch and Avery maximize their new machine capabilities. I've said it before, but their 7075 T6 chassis's are the foundation for any extreme use basher. Big thanks to Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

Meant to mention an interesting factoid. When weighing the stock EXB chassis vs M2C Racing, I found M2C only added about 75g of weight 👀. Stock weighed 1076g. M2C was 1152g. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Still waiting on that... Thanks again for the excellent vids dude, keep up the great work! BTW have you had any problems with the cross pins, or are you just bending these driveshafts? Thanks so much Brother 😜. I have actually busted several 8s crosspins and bent driveshafts. Not so much with my EXB, but definitely on my Outcast 8s and K8s RTR. I'm not sure it's a design flaw 🤔. I'm thinking it's a hardness issue with the material. I really noticed it running the belted Duratrax Six Packs X's and 840kv Hobbystar 😱🤣🤣. Seems like sudden hits on power (jumping a ledge or abrupt vertical face) would slow a wheel quickly enough to sheer the pin clean off 😝. I'm probably having better luck with the softer EXB tires and 980kv. Mitch's pins are a high grade hardened steel 😍🍻😎💪👊👊

Not too happy with that result but I figured I would chalk it up to my fault with non-perfect landings, and run the Duratrax. The funny thing is, I'm not jumping mine even a fraction of how high you are with yours. I maybe get 10-15 feet off the ground. Hmm, oh well it's all part of the hobby I guess. Rich I had another question for you as you know I am looking into building out a 1/8 EXB myself from all my million other questions I have asked you so far LOL. How is it you wire up the batteries to the ESC when you end up using 2 packs? Since I know if you are able to run a single pack i.e. 6S, 4S, etc it is easy since you just have the 2 wires from the ESC with the single connector on it. But if you are running 6S or 8S and have to use multiple packs to how it is you connect the two batteries to the ESC if there is only a single connector there? I am have not seen a setup in person where I could just look and see how it is done. Only thing I picked up is in those instances there is a loopback adapter you need to use when you only use one battery instead of two.

@@richduperbash2966 I forgot about those arm guards. Might be an option. Good to hear about options! I finally have EXB chassis braces and changed out my diff fluid for the first time. Center diff was a bit tricky with the braces and getting the dog bones into the sleeves. Lol Newb issue. Had to take the braces all the way out. Anyways I bought gaskets for the diffs, somehow I only seem to find a gasket on the center diff, which leads me to believe there are now 2 gaskets on the f/r because I somehow didn't notice them which seems unlikely because how much I cleaned the housing...hell idk. 🤣 sorry for the novel

Hi Rich. Does no one do aluminum A arms because they need to have some flex or because it would be too heavy or both or something else? Thanks brother 👊🏼 🍻
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 Жыл бұрын
Aluminum arms are a bad idea for a basher. They add weight and once they're bent, they're usually trash. Arms have to have some flex or they'll just lead to other breakages such as hinge pins, suspension blocks, bulkheads, and hub carriers.

quick question... is running silicon earplugs in the center diff ok to do with nothing else but the ear plug? does it provide enough lubrication on its own, to keep the diff from over heating? For example, behind the planetary gear, pretty sure none of the earplug gets behind it, can this overheat and create an issue... or am I fine?

@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
The stock and EXB braces all fit with the M2C chassis's. The braces are softer 6061 aluminum though and not as durable as 7075 aftermarket options. Specifically, the base of the brace can round off after enough hard use. The best brace designs utilize a through bolt design with M4 lock nut on top. Sheering bolts off in braces is a serious PITA 😂. On that note, grade 12.9 hardware is the best for higher stress connections. 😎💪👊👊

Confusion regarding running 20mil diff fluid combined with silicon ear plugs... are the plugs being put in to thicken it up even more... somebody told me once that 20mil diff fluid is thicker than silicon ear plugs... but I'm not sure. If one were to run 100% silicon ear plugs in the center diff, what would be the equivalent cst, or mill rating? Also... just in general, what is the benefit fo running thicker material (such as silicon plugs) in the center diff, as apposed to 500k or 1 mill?
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
Soft silicone ear plugs are definitely thicker than 20mil cst. I'm not sure by how much 🤔. My guess is atleast twice the density just by feel. I usually mix 50/50 of each, but used more like 60/40 this time. The advantage is less power bleeding to the front wheels and simply ballooning and more power to the ground. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Yes...there are a few issues. The shock rods are a pain to cram into the arms. If I recall correctly, I had to use longer bolts to secure the sway arm pivots. I honestly don't like the 8s RPM arms 😝. This is after running them up front for awhile. No droop screw location 👎. They flex so much that other issues arise. Bent driveshafts and shock rods. Most everyone I run with has gone back to stock arms. They handle and perform better than the RPM arms. 🍻
