First hardcore test of the all new Kraton EXB Large Scale Roller. Here's a look at my electronics, gearing, and basic set-up. Super impressed with the handling and overall durability considering what this huge truck was put through. Clearly no RC is unbreakable. This type of bashing often exceeds the reasonable limits given the forces involved. I'm fine with this reality. Rather than blame the truck, I simply fix the damages I cause. Huge shout out to M2C Racing and Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

So far this chasis is holding strong I am a belive that the 6s exb chasis is just a stock one with exb written on it. It bends like a spoon in the matrix. Hope I continue to have good luck with the 8s exb chasis!

Thanks so much Julian 👊. I try to be as objective as possible about breakages. They're just part of the hobby, like cleaning, doing proper maintenance, and checking fasteners. Any rig can be broken of course. Usually it's driver error or significant impact force. I just try to stay grounded with realistic expectations. If you're going to do huge jumps...etc... you're going to exceed reasonable limits at some point. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

I genuinely love this truck. It’s it’s become one of my daily bashers including the Traxxas XMaxx. For those who are considering purchasing a kit I’d highly recommend it. Fair warning, the mount screws he recommended replacing is without a doubt great advice.I am myself a stripped these bolts and also for sidenote when rebuilding the center differential make sure all bolts are properly tightened unfortunately I did not tighten my centre diff correctly and ended up stripping a gear inside the diff. Aside from those user errors, this truck handles like a dream and feels like a quality basher. Big thank you to this gentleman for making this informative and helpful video👍🏻

Thanks so much Roberto 🤗. Just has this Big girl out again yesterday. So addicting. You're absolutely right about the center diff. It's easy to overfill and not get the diff cover completely seated when tightening the screws down. Especially when using 20mil and/or Silicone ear plugs. 🍻😎💪👊👊

😮 Wow, you are really sending the ## lb of truck over the ramp... And the rig took it quite well. Sure, accidents happen and nothing is unbreakable, especially when send as if there is no tomorrow 😮 Arrma is really killing it with the EXB Models, they are just awesome. I am building an K6 EXB right now. 😘😘😘 Bash on!

Thanks so much dear Kimberly 😍. This first bash was fairly brutal. Lots of vertical airs with harsh flat and off angle landings. Very impressed with what ARRMA's done with this EXB 👀. Stoked about the shocks and links too 💪. So happy ARRMA went with a direct fit 39T spur option 😍. The chassis will not tolerate this style of driving for long though 🤣. M2C is the only solution as I see it. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

I really think the EXB Lineup was made for guys like you Rich. You love to tinker and make things you're own so it's perfect. A 30+ LBS RC Man that's a total beast. I'd kill myself with that. Thanks so much Harry 🤗. These BIG rigs are a different kinda experience for sure 👀. I've hit myself before and you definitely feel it Brother 😱🤣🤣. You can end up on the ground if you're not careful. I will still use Gorilla tape sometimes, but have largely gone back to using shoe Goo cuz it's far stronger and lighter overall. Tried E6000 and several other ideas through the years, but the Goo has done the best over time. The EXB did fantastic considering her size and how harsh some of those hits were 👀. Looking forward to getting her 100% dialed in soon. 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

Congrats on the new 8s exb looks amazing. Such an awesome bash. I agree we can only expect so much with the trucks this big and heavy. Ive been nothing short of amazed and impressed by mine i can only imagine the exb with more beef. I think those shock are on my "need" list 😂 the rotations you where getting where nothing short of sick man. I hope they give the 8s backflips the exb treatment soon too cuz it would be awesome hahaha. I would love to still see an optional m2c chassis that would haveva widened rear droop section just for us running rpm arms. Could widen it and use the bottom of the arms for some sort of droop setting. Maybe be able to build it up there like the chassis stiffeners attach.thanks for another epic bash video man 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻

Thanks so very much Nick 🤗. I'm still in awe with these 8s rigs 😱🥰🥰. Never imagined sending rigs this huge like this and not having the wheels fall right off 😂. It's just incredible what ARRMA has done with this unique platform Brother. Some people get (head in the clouds) critical and say "it broke already"...."the arms are made of glass"...etc. Look at the big picture I say. This is bashing, stuff breaks. It's part of the hobby regardless of brand preference, loyalty, and all the online gibberish. For a rig this size and weight to perform so well is mind blowing to me 🙀. The fun factor is off the hook too 😍. I've had a set of front RPM arms on standby for a little while now, just haven't needed them. Kinda shocked I didn't break an arm with those rough landings this session 😂. That would be sick to see some EXB Backflips 👀. Mitch and Avery with M2C are all over new 8s upgrades. Expect to see beefcake driveshafts and outdrives soon. Their new screw machine will make any steel part on the truck plus titanium options. Pretty certain we're in for a stellar year of new stuff all around Brother. 🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

I wouldn't sell my K8s either Brother😱. It's an absolute Tank with the M2C chassis and other tidbits 💪. Overall, I am impressed with all the other changes 👀. The tires, shocks, links, rod ends, and motor mount all held up phenomenally well considering the harshness of this first test. The chassis simply isn't aftermarket level. It can't and won't handle the same abuse I've grown accustomed to putting my other 8s rigs through. It would probably fair better with moderate use. Trying to think objectively as many people don't do huge sends...etc. It definitely puts Crazy and sometimes unreasonable strain on components. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

Hey really easy fix to stop breaking the blades is to put a small self adhering clear bumper that they use on cabinet doors. You can get them at home depot. Helps take some shock from the blades and has stopped mine from breaking. Used to go through one every bash. Also did the screen mesh to stop the small rocks from wedging in heat sync.

I bent my Kraton EXB into a chicken taco at the skate park in the first 5 minutes. I need an m2c chassis. The stock one can't be 7075 as it scratches too easily with the hardness tester. But boy is it fun as you obviously know from the insane dolphin-like acrobats you do, lol.

M2C is the answer Brother 👊. Unfortunately, the EXB likely uses 7075 T-0 (cheap Chinese grade). It's no where near as strong as true 7075 T6 sourced in the U.S. Skateparks are harsh on any RC, but M2C will take it. 😎💪👊👊

Great Bash Rich, is it just me or was the Kraton leaving the ramp slightly rotated/twisting? Makes for hard landings, you did really well in the wind and under attack from Dave. Great to see you having fun with a mate, thanks for your continued hard work. Take care.
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Brother 😜!!!! Yes indeed on several off camber rotations 😱. The internal framing on my plastic ramps have started failing 👀. One of the ramps is springing more than the other under compression. It's spreading downwards from side to side. That plus the bigger tires and wind was bucking her off axis big time 👀. Been trying to get new ramps, but these are basically discontinued and I can't find suitable replacements. Definitely makes air control and clean landings far more difficult. The other thing is these Big Blocks. They flip WAY faster than I expected 😂. Never seen anyone pull easy triples with a Kraton 8s. That's going to take a run or 2 to adjust to. The wheel mass is pretty touchy with this 980kv setup. 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

Rich im a huge fan of your channel . I have a very similar build on the K8S EXB, I’ve been using the HW 800KV with 34/34. It only been 55degrees here and even after 15 mins bashing I’m hitting 170 temp on motor . I recently got my hands on a HOBBYSTAR 840KV , I know this is one of your favorites with 1:1. Can you tell me have you heard of guys running hot with the HW 800 in this heavy rig ? Also is it true the HS 840 makes more wattage than the HW 800. What is the reasoning behind thicker fluid up front? Doesnt that increase turning radius?
@richduperbash2966
@richduperbash2966 3 жыл бұрын
Thicker fluid slows the natural transfer of power to the inside wheel in turns as the car leans outward and the inside wheel lifts. Basically, you can rip out of turns with thicker front fluids, instead of having the inside tire ballooning and wasting power. It slows initial turning slightly, but is far better for going fast with maximum traction and control. 🍻😎💪👊👊
