Well he should put some proper fucking wheels and tires on the Rover then. Looking like a fool off roading in 21" wheels, and summer tires, neither is he doing any justice to the true off road capabilities of this car. Go get some 19" wheels, and some meaty off road tires. Stop this non sense. I get the argument of trying to prove the car completely stock with non off road tires, but that's just stupid and asking for trouble. Be safe, be smart. Go get the proper tools and gear.

I once took my 1994 Celica off roading through the plains of the African Savanna. We got stopped by Warlords halfway through the route and we were worried. Until we realized they wanted to know how a humble sedan could get 400,000 miles and still be running smooth. They had a ceremony for us that night and now I am an honorary chief of Oldupai and its people. God bless my 1994 Toyota Celica.

Btw I’ve the same in 🇬🇧 . I’ve a Nov 2020’ build in Carpathian, Auto on black/diamond cut 5007’s. Got day at Eastnor Castle coming up. FYI - Keep the Sport. Had many (c5) Vogues 2015 to 2020, but the Sport is more nimble, a sharper / better drive & same underpinnings and be specked the same too. [Big Tangent there!] Anyway, crack on dude. Loving the content. Btw, Noticed yet that You’re the only one pumping content on YT. 🥳 ...more please.

I'm telling ya mate, get some factory 20s and chuck on a set of 275/55R20 MTs and run them at 20psi. You'll be amazed at the difference 😉

It is. CC doesn't protect from stuff like this. You need full PPF but I can't stand PPF so I just got it paint corrected once a year

Now That Is what one calls "off roading"..!! The "track" they negotiated looked more like an old "flash flood"river bed, than any sort of man made track, no matter what the traffic may have been. What other 4X4 could provide such "arm-chair"comfort over such terrain...? None that I can think of...!!

We dont get a ton of the diesel options here in NA, but depending on where you are that could be a great choice. The reason I went when the V8 SC over the V6 diesel (our only option here) is the interior choices for the V8 are lightyears nicer then what you get in the diesel, that was super important for me. Great to meet you, always an exciting time picking out a new RRS!

@@DrivenHard I am in the US so I guess td6 is the only option because thats the only engine that I found. It would be nice if I could get V8 SC but its out of my budget unfortunately. Would you recommend the tdv6 over a v6 gas engine? I have never owned a diesel before so that question is more like which engine is easier to take care of ?

@@Kay-dx8vm diesels are way more expensive to work on but tend to last longer. Stay away from LR small engines for sure

The difference between the td6 and the top of the line v8 (atb) was 14k when I got mine. I'm sure you don't need to get the ATB trim but stay way from the V6. Diesel or V8

I'm a 2011 RRS owner in Australia and reckon your videos are great and different. I'm sorry but the biggest problem I have is in many of your recordings I cannot hear what you are saying. It would be more interesting to me and probably many others viewers if we could hear your audio. Keep up the great recordings but please put the mike where it can pick up you as well as the V8. Such a cool thing, but SUCH a bad filming.. sad :( lights - you can switch them off. You don't need to show popups all the time, you clean a camera from fingerprints (or rent a good camera with a decent microphone since you've already rented a car) and this trail is not really good for barely street good tire size. But I like the idea - finally someone testing good cars in a tricky environment.
