Living in Colomba, my life was lightened and delighted by the music of Los Panchos. Boleros and other ethnic music were my listening pleasure. 610AM in Bogota was called "Radio Bolero."

That’s awesome, do you know that Mexicans landed in the Philippines 🇵🇭? I know that Spain 🇪🇸 conquered the Philippines for i believe 500 years ? Not sure, but Mexicans went to work in the Philippines so you might be part Mexican too, that’s great you love Mexican music you have good taste .

In the mid 1960's, my mom bought an album my entire family loves, "Eydie Gorme and Los Panchos: Amor." This album was played so many times, my mom bought another copy. In 1967, I was five years old. I remember playing the album and sitting in front of the speakers. I was listening to the album and staring at the cover. I was thinking Eydie Gorme is so pretty. In the early 1970's, my mom bought a copy of the album on an 8-track tape. In 2005, I bought a copy of the album on CD. In 2017, I had finally found a used copy of the album on vinyl. I listened to it once. I bought a frame for it and I have it hanging in my living room with other framed albums by The Beatles, Pink Floyd and Santana. My siblings and I have different tastes in music. My siblings and I love the album, "Eydie Gorme And Los Panchos: Amor." This album is one of my favorite top ten albums I love and listen to alot. My favorite song on the album is "Historia de un Amor."

Don't forget that the lead singer for the "Trio Los Panchos" in this video is no other than Puerto Rico's Johnny Albino (RIP) The "Trio Los Panchos" golden years were mostly while they had some wonderful Puerto Rican lead singers at three different stages of their career. It all started with Hernando Aviles, later it was Julito Rodriguez Reyes who himself was replaced by Johnny Albino.

Los Panchos were Puerto Ricans; in that time, They never got any credit for their music,. It's now that they're acknowledging Bobby Capo who also wrote 'What ever Lola wants, Lola gets'. He was really prolific; wish that I had known as a very young woman that Bobby Capo was really the creator of many beautiful popular songs.

Una excelente interprete, tengo 38 años y crecí escuchando su música gracias a mi papito, adoraba cantar las canciones escuchando a mi padre. Es una lastima que ya no esté físicamente, sin embargo su música seguirá trascendiendo.

Eydie Gormé was born in the Bronx, New York City to Sephardic Jewish parents on this day in 1928. She and her family spoke several languages at home, including Ladino, which is rooted in Spanish. She died on August 10, 2013.

Ahora, el que si de plano se la estira es el cantaor de los Pacos con no hacer distinción entre b y v... Qué poca mamá! Grandes recuerdos de la década de los 60´s: Se dio la sinergia de una cantante angloparlante, seducida por las enormes composiciones latinoamericanas del momento, acompañada por el exitoso Trío mexicanos de Los Panchos, reyes de la música romántica desde años atrás.. Afortunadamente lograron ponerse de acuerdo, siendo tan famosos cada quien por su lado, para grabar varios LP´s de vinilo en español y dejar en video este estupenda participación en televisión. Somos afortunados de escuchar y volar la imaginación con tan tremendas grabaciones que van a quedar para siempre en la historia musical....saludos desde la Ciudad de México...

grandiosas canciones de nuestros padres, y una angloparlante cantando magistralmente canciones en español es sorprendente, una agradable sorpresa en su momento supongo, y hasta el dia de hoy se admira la super voz de esta mujer y que decir de los panchos uno de los mejores trios romanticos de Mexico .

Eydie Gormé era judía estadounidense de etnia sefardí, en su casa hablaban ladino, o sea un español del siglo 16 con influencias del hebreo, griego, turco y aremeo que se habla aun en comunidades judeo-sefardíes de Sarajevo y en Turquía, por eso cantaba con fluido español.

GRANDIOSA época de los famosos TRÍOS (Guitarristas románticos Originales) como estos legendarios LOS PANCHOS....así como los Tres caballeros, Los tres diamantes etc. eran favoritos de mis padres y también YO los disfrutaba en los años 60 al 65 del siglo pasado...GENIALES !!!! Ojala encuentre ese tema "Poquita Fe"...

Amazing video!...Eydie is astounding in the studio and on records but those magical sparks begin to fly when she's on stage and her audience is in for a real treat....a beautiful lady with a superbly beautiful voice!!! She will forever be missed.

When I was a kid and my parents would visit friends it seems they all had the same LP. Gorme in her thick knit sweater blue on blue background. It was everywhere.

Te imaginas haber estado en éste concierto con tu novia, salir con tú con tu traje y tu novia con su vestido por las calles de los 50s.. dónde todo era hermoso.. los autos, las luces, veo éste video y tengo una epifanía con haber vivido los 50s.. donde todo era sano.
