Arek, I used two Amps in this demo, a Suhr Badger 18 and a 5 Watt Ibanez TSA5... those are VERY different amps... one cost me over 2000 Euro including speaker, the other cost 99 Euro !

Luckily we have it in our local store, so i can buy it directly, but before that, i have question for you, well its just my thought. Regarding bi-amping why don't we just plug the Strymon after loop2 out so it will be like this ,PXL Live > Loop2 out > Left in Strymon > return amp ... send amp -> loop 2 in PXL Live and PXL Live Loop 1 out to input amp 1 , and tuner out PXL Live to Right in strymon > Amp 2 . Why would i have this thought, just in case someone out there who wants to keep trails on Strymon when they're changing the preset, and since we can control the Strymon via midi, i don't think its necessary to put Strymon in the loop of PXL Live. Sorry for my bad explanation i hope you understand my thought hehehehe

"I don't think to get the stereo sound you have to have the same amp twice...who can afford that" at about 6:16, while kneeling in front of what appears to be four different Black Heart amp heads :). Hey the simple solution to getting a stereo sound is to use the two loops as Left/Right amp runs. Run your amps clean, stereo pedals fed by loops 4 & 8, i.e. at the end of their loop sections. Should work if it works to keep the front end and amp loop of the amps separate? If you need a second signal to plug into the second loop, steal it from the tuner. However if that third output (the tuner) was available I rather run three little amps and have the center be dry. Done.

Hi Lets say I want to use two set's of effectpedals, two chains in parallel. Could I use the tuner output to feed loop 2? And as a result switch pedals independed for output 1 and output 2. And control a fuzz in loop 1 into the normal channel of my ac 30, and an overdrive in loop 2 into the TB channel?

Can’t you use 3 amps? Tuner output, loop1 out and loop2 out?

Is it possible to connect the tuner output to the efectloop input. And the efect loop output to a 2nd amplifier. Then you can use both amplifiers with 4 loops. Then you may have a cool, thick stereo sound.

Henning, I have the Carl Martin Octa-Switch II. It is big and heavy and does not have midi (but is still a very good switcher). I like the smaller footprint of the joyo and the midi capability for my Strymon pedals. I saw a couple of videos on youtube and apparently there is a problem with the midi commands when you switch between presets... The cc's get changed. hi, can the PXL-Live 's two halves be used to control and manage a full stereo PATH (of 4 stereo stomps)?. That is, 4 stereo stomp pedals where each (L) signal routes into one half-of-the-PXL and each (R) signal into the other-half of the PXL... (in context for using keyboards thru the system in full-stereo ...)

Wenn das timeleine alleine nicht mehr kosten würde als meine beiden amps mit box zusammen, hätte ich schon längst eins. Zusammen mit dem Eventide ist das einfach das Maß der Dinge. (imho natürlich) Hast du nicht Lust, mir dein El Capistan zu verkaufen? Mit dem Timeline hast du doch schon alles, was man so an delay braucht (und noch sehr viel mehr) :D kurze Frage zum Setup - laufen die Modulationen über einen FX Loop, oder einfach vorn in die Amps? Just a little tip for beginners and people with low budget (like me): get the Fender ABY, get a decent Interface for your PC with at least TWO inputs! Fender ABY: 20-30€ Interface: 50 - 100€ 1st: your miced up practise amp (or straight input if you have a micro cube or fender mustang or sth like that). Guitar --> Fender ABY --> Amp --> Interface (1st input) 2nd: Guitar --> Fender ABY --> Interface (2nd input) --> Modeling Software (Guitar Rig or sth like that) This is fuckin awesome to record really fancy stuff because Guitarrig offers you a shitload of really good sounding effects - keep an eye on the modulation effects - great! If you have a good interface (I use a Mackie because of it's very warm and kinda analogue sounding preamps) the sound will be very professional without much editing.

You said that the problem appears on bank 1-4 when you try to program bank 5-8. So correct me if Im wrong but that means that I can still program midi on bank 1-4 without having any problems? How many presets can be programed per bank? is it A, B, C & D? So on 4 banks I can program 16 presets without having any problems?

So here's a thought, and please correct me if I'm wrong. I I were to wire 8 pedals into the PXL and then have the output go into the mono in of a stereo delay pedal, I could send the left to one amp and the right to another amp thereby being able to take advantage of the delay pedal's stereo pan features, if so chosen. (The Line 6 DL4 comes to mind as well as many others where it will take a mono input and split the signal into stereo.) Could I then still run a line out from the PXL turner out to yet another amp? Or maybe even a monitor right in front of me. Then I'd have true stereo through the delay pedal or whatever, AND also an additional 3rd amp for monitoring purposes. This would not be affected by the pedals and would essentially be a clean sound, but as a monitor that "might" be Ok. Just wondering...

Hi, I play the Chapman Stick and I'm wondering if this controller could be used to manage both signals of the stick, for bass and guitar side. Maybe usind the IN fot the guitar side and, since there is no second IN, the return of loop 2 to send and process the bass signal. Could this work, so having programs that change both loops wiht one step?

I have a question--- and If been watching all looper / Pedal videos about joy twice or thrice ;-) Because the question is a little bit tricky I have to ask in german... and if anyone wants to know what I'm asking he has to use google translator. Sorry. Kann ich auch Bi-Amping mit 2 Effekt-Ketten machen, indem ich folgendes ausprobiere: Gitarre in In --> Signal geht durch die erste Loopsektion --> Loop 1 Out geht in AMP A. --> Tuner Out geht in Loop 2 IN --> Signal geht durch Loopsektion 2 --> Loop 2 Out in AMP B. Also 2 Signalwege an 2 Amps mit einem Looper. Ich suche genau diese Lösung. Bisher tanze ich viel Stepptanz, da ich mir irgendwann eingebildet habe, dass ich über 2 Amps mit verschiedenen Signalwegen spielen möchte und auf Looper/Recorder nutzen zu können (AKAI Headrush / BOSS RC20XL) und mit clean / distorted sowie delay/reverb sounds spielen zu können. Ohne zweiten Gitarristen in einem Ambient-Setting für ein Post-Metal-Trio. Ich könnte mit vorstellen, dass das funktioniert, wobei ich glaube, dass dann beide Amps immer an wären, oder...bzw. nur der Tuner-Kanal könnte gemutet sein oder ich baue noch einen ABY-Switcher mit Triggerfunktion dazwischen (Wenn es sowas gibt?) So das war meine nervigste Frage, die ich je im Gear-Geek-Internet gestellt habe. Ich hoffe du liest diese Frage unter einem 2 Jahre alten Video noch... vielleicht gibt es auch ein Video, dass genau mein Problem behandelt. Danke für die Videos! Thumps up!

Freaking awesome! Im Prinzip könntest du auch 2x Loops benutzen um 2 Inputs für dein Timeline zu haben. Beide Loop-Outs (L2_3 und L2_4) immer on und aus dem Pedal in die Amps. Dann könnte man ebenfalls die anderen Pedale des Boards nutzen. Oder wird die Signalkette unterbrochen wenn kein Signal mehr zurück führt? (Seriell oder Parallel?)

Thanks for fast feedback! But what if I use the styrmons after the pxl8-chain. Instead of going directly from the pxl8 to the amp I go to strymon mono in and let the styrmon split the signal to stereo out going into two amps? Lets say I have al my mono pedals (drives, tremolo, pog, etc) connected to the pxl8 and program presets for those pedals and then I take the mono out from the pxl8 and connect it to the mono in on the timeline and then just send the stereo outputs L & R from the timeline to two different amps? Wouldn't that give me true stereo? And can I still program what presets to be used on the styrmon pedals using only the midi out on the pxl8 and not having them connected to the pxl8 loop chain? Hope you understand what I mean.

The PXL Live just keeps getting more versatile. Great thinking on your part to do that. I mentioned under your other PXL Live vid that I just ordered one (that will take a month to get here from China). Any chance I can snag a copy of your updated manual? I'm interested to see if it will work with my JVM's midi. Now that you've shown it can control two amps, I can see running one loop into one amp, and the other loop into another amp. There's a ton of flexibility here. Is the mute/tuner function programmable into the patch settings?

Great videos! Stupid question time: can I use this to switch guitars? As in: I pretend that my four guitars are effects, that have no inputs but only outputs. So I plug four guitars into loop 1 to 4 returns, leaving the sends not plugged in. Then I program bank 1 switch A for only loop 1 on, switch B for only loop 2 on etc. I see you used output and tuner out for biamping which is cool. But can I use loop 5-8 sends and bank switching for amp switching? Again, use switch A-D for guitar switching on each bank, and bank up down for amp switching? So bank 1 switch A turns on loops 1 and 5. B turns on 2 and 5. Bank 2 switch A turns on loops 1 and 6... Etc. Would it work? Willy.
