Would it be possible to set up the looper to have a setting that will bypass the preamp of the amp and send a signal through a pedal clean preamp and then into the return of the return of the head? Hi, great videos! I am from Chile and I´ve been watching a lot of them since a couple of days so I am starting to understand more about these very useful tools. I liked very much the simplicity of the Moen GC9, but I have a Line 6 M9, so sadly the GC9 does not have Midi... Then I looked the GC8 Live, which is more complicated than the GC9, but its too expensive for my budget. So now I looked the Joyo PXL Live and it looks like the GC8 Live in terms of "simplicity", but its more affordable. So, would you recommend me the PXL Live or maybe I can check another pedal switcher in the market in terms of more friendly user and that has Midi of course? By the way, I use a very simple setup: all my pedals in front of the amp, just using the clean channel of it. No amp switching or triggers. Thanks man. Rock on!

Hey i was wondering about gate placement. I want to use a gate in the looper series with distortion but also want to be able to apply delay etc with different combos. I have found for example that if I have distortion and gate and delay that the gate cuts off some of the delay / decay. I noticed you had the gate after the looper. Wouldn't that cut some of the FX off as well if the gate is after the looper? Essentially I want to plug my looper into basic amp directly and have gate, distortion and delay combos through the looper presets without compromising delay / reverb fx. Any ideas or am I just not getting the setup right?

Hey dude, thx for your helpful guide on how to use the pxl8 , but I hope you could help me to solve this : I have an orange dual terror with no s/r fx loop so i have all the pedal loops in front of the amp. Now i want to put my new Sentry Noise Gate which have s/r, after od and fuzz... where the noise is. How can i loop the noise gate in the PXL8 ? I really appreciate if you can help me, this thing is driving me mad! 😅

Hello, I have a question, at minute 5:00 you comment that if I want the 8 loopers to enter through the input of the amplifier without occupying the effects looper of the amplifier, I just don't have to connect cables in loop 2 out or loop 2 in, however when doing this the 4 High loops do not work. On these I connected a loop with an overdrive and on the other delay effects. You can help?

Can you please make an instructional video like this on MIDI controlling the Line 6 M13 with Joyo PXL live? I was thinking about changing scenes on Line 6 m13 using the Joyo looper. Is that possible at all? I would really appreciate it! Thanks!!

Is this the Joyo pedalboard? I saw you had trouble with the RD3 board, this seems neater :) Trying to settle on either the Joyo PXL Live or the Moen GEC8. If this wasn't so huge it would be an easy choice!

hey man, great videos! I got a pxl live the other day and it's working great. I just have one quick question. Is it possible to get trails after a channel switch? for instance: If I am playing a solo with delay and want to switch back to a dry signal buy want the delay to ring over.

If I have a Line 6 M9, placed outside of the PXL Live on the way to the FX Loop Return, would you be able to turn it on or off with the MIDI function, and change which of the 3 presets would be active : ) ?

To run all 8 loops into the front of my amp, I connected a patch cable from loop 1 out into loop 2 in. It work however she there is a popping noise on the output loop 2 which is connected to my amp. Does you know what i'm doing wrong. Logically it should work but i think i just have a faulty unit. (Bought used). Thanks

I've always been a bit confused on where to place the Strymon Mobius. Its modulation but it also has volume based effects like rotary so I don't really know if I should run it in front or in the effects loop. Any thoughts?

hi eytschi , very good videos i have see a lot of them , but i have a doubt with the midi function ( jaja), if i have a delay with midi controll like yours , you can create a diferent banks with diferent kind ??( i mean like diferent feedbacks , diferets tipes analog-digital, etc) , ans can you use the tap tempo for all the delays that you all ready save has a preset??? like a tap tempo master that can afecct all the delays in all presets. thanks i rellay apreciate your answer!

one question on the pxl pro where would i place the boss ns2?

I think, that if this joyo looper can send "continuous control" messages, it could have a "volume pedal" socket, and should send a CC everytime, when VP moves. Great video btw., I think I'll buy this looper :)

Hello Henning, thnx for the video! I'm contemplating on my ideal rig for a while, but still need some figuring out to do. In this video you say a midi program change, can change the preset on the Timeline / AND switch amp channel. How is this connected? I will sketch you my setup and my wishes: I have a 5150 III 50W which has a MIDI IN. I have an M9 by Line 6. With one step on the PXL live I want to: - Switch from Green channel (clean) to Blue channel (dist. 1) and active a patch on the m9. Is this possible through Midi? reason I'm asking is the Midi latency on the m9. If I connect the PXL Live to the M9, and the M9 to the 5150...I will still have the latency problem, right? Or do you have another solution? I'm also wondering if 2 trigger outs will be enough for my 3 channel amp. Cheers!

I just got my joyo pxl 8 live, I'm using it to the front of the amp, but for some reason the part that has my Clean pedals just don't work, when I activate that side of the pedals it goes like I was going to bypass to the sound of the amp only... I don't know what to do please help me!!!

Maybe anyone here can point me in the right direction... I own a EVH 5150iii 50w head (the version with the 1/4" jack channel switching system) and I have ordered a FXL8 PRO with two triggers and MIDI capabilities (www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_fxl8_pro.htm). I intend to use the MIDI out of the FXL8 to switch my delay, so I would like to do the channelswitching of the amp with the triggers. The 5150iii uses a mono cable to switch between 3 channels and to switch FX loop on/off. Would the FXL8 allow me to do the same with 1 trigger? Or would I need an Y-cable (2x mono>stereo)? Also, does anyone have experience to set up the FXL8 with a 5150iii 50w? Thanks in advance for any useful pointers!
