Actions have consequences, there have been a ton of celebs that made mistakes but I’m not sure how many included literal kidnapping and toxic grooming of a minor. Not to mention all the other obvious mental health issues at play here. It’s foolish to just ignore this and thing a hug and a Pat on the back will help correct anything.

Sure, there's personal accountability, but as with most bad behavior you have to look at the environment that allows it too. When businesses, citizens, and law enforcement give celebrities and the wealthy a pass for bad behavior this thing happens more frequently. This is what happens when you let it go unchecked. I admit, I enjoyed Miller's work in Fantastic Beasts and in Justice League. Once I heard about his repeated issues, I refused to support him in any way.

I tried looking up all these supposed accusations about Miller, and the only official thing i could find was that he was charged with trespassing. There was an incident with what was reported to be choking a women, but that was 50/50 whether it was self defence or assault. Most importantly, the "grooming" thing appears to be completely fabricated. There's was no charge brought for this and it's all just hearsay which has been peddled around by grifters. If there was any substance to it then he'd be in custody and certainly not allowed to attend a premiere, but none of the "I won't see this movie" people seem care as long as they can clutch their pearls.

I'm not someone who's boycotting this movie or anything, but I think that a bigger problem than Ezra having a lot of serious allegations is the fact that Warner Bros has literally said or done nothing about this publicly. Like it's completely understandable that the film was shot before Ezra did anything, but when WB has been quiet about the allegations for a year and even some people attached to the film saying that they would gladly have Ezra back, it makes it seem like the studio doesn't think it's a big deal at all.
@zacharyshatzer6124
@zacharyshatzer6124 Жыл бұрын
@Ade Bakari they should've just released a statement recognizing that these are serious allegations and that they don't side with Ezra when they were first starting to get serious. Something along the lines of: "We acknowledge that Ezra Miller has done many serious actions which have hurt other people. Although he is the star of The Flash, many other talented people have worked hard on this film already and should not be punished for the actions of one person, so we will continue to work on and release it. But releasing it doesn't mean we condone Ezra Miller, and once that movie is finished, they will no longer have a place in Warner Bros until they go through the proper help and recovery that they need."

I have huge respect for WB taking responsibility for their employee, who clearly have mental issues. Instead of just kicking a person to the side and leave them on the side of the road, they've acknowledged a health problem and are helping them in their recovery. Accusations and speculations are to be awaited if they hold any grain. From what I can see now, since no accusations have been legitimate or found guilty, they just seem like extreme radical behaviour of a mental breakdown from a young person, that have been put in the media spotlight.

Saw the Flash last night. Honestly, I liked most of it. The CGI was questionable but the acting and the story were decent... I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10 My one really big issues with the movie is that they should have recast Barry, like had him come back to the current timeline at the end of the film and all the sudden he looks different and is played by someone else because now they are sorta stuck awkwardly recasting Ezra in future films. As for Ezra, I don't mind that he wasn't engaged with press. But in my opinion, he shouldn't have even been there. WB needs to distance themselves from Ezra as much as possible. In fact, In my opinion, I think Hollywood in general should and let him to get the mental help he needs then maybe in 10-15 years maybe get back into acting if anyone wants him back. But for now, he should be focused on his own mental well being and Hollywood should move on because the way everything is going... It's not good for anyone.

Actually, I just checked, and was almost wrong. The very first of Ezra's incident's (the video of him choking down on a woman) apparently happened a couple of months after the official start of production for THE FLASH movie. But Warner Bros--which was in active negotiations at that point with Discovery seeking to be acquired, never issued any public statement even acknowledging that the event happened. The movie wrapped in October 2021, though, so Ezra had plenty of time to get up to all kinds of awful choices between then and now. What an absolutely sh*t show.

The director loved that. He said Ezra would improvise a lot of the lines so John Campea you are sadly mistaken IT IS Ezra's film. Also the Back To The Future premise was developed by Grant Morrison AND Ezra. I don't get the hate people have for that guy. Robert Downey Jr was a crackhead with a criminal record. Question: Has Ezra been found guilty of any of their allegations, or are we playing the he said/they said game without any real knowledge or full context? There’s a whole system dedicated to gathering information, discerning what’s true from what’s false, contextualizing each situation, and determining the proper punishment for whatever wrongdoings that are found to be true. I know that’s they’ve pled guilty to trespassing, but to my knowledge that’s about it. Even the person he choked admitted to their being a whole bunch of instigation incited by her friend that led to that incident. None of the context to which we are privy to. Where does anyone get off canceling someone without due course?! These are not incidents that happened secretly 20+ years ago. Ezra is not in jail right because his actions have not (as of now) seem to warrant jail time. They’ve been involved in a lot of fuck shit, and they need to pause their life. Let’s be clear, Ezra has not been accused of molesting children here! Like what is everyone up in arms about. Shit is crazy!

Also, I’m not trying to negate the bad things Ezra Miller has done. But I have enough awareness to realize that anyone’s time is vital, and wasting it arguing over something that will still be a topic probably for the years to come, is just ridiculous in my opinion. Let the courts, the justice system, and the investigators do their job. You either watch the movie, or you don’t simple as that. Let God or Karma, deal with Ezra Miller. It is not my place to condemn someone, when I don’t know or have all the information.

@@the_0racle Bro...bro...bro....This was LITERALLY one of the things that defenders used to say about Harvey Weinstein before he finally got charged and convicted about three decades into his successful part time job as Hollywood's most influential rapist. I'm not equating Ezra Miller to Harvey Weinstein, but look...there are credible allegations against Miller that include abducting and possibly grooming a minor, and while we shouldn't believe every accusation, we HAVE to take every accusation seriously and determine what's going on. And we sure can't dismiss anything out of hand just because no jail time has been served. That's a chicken-or-the-egg circular fallacy.

Simple really, just spend a few years in prison like anyone else would. See what bothers me is not his acting skills ( I mean I still prefer Grant Gustin as the flash), but his weird and troublesome personality followed by the fact that everyone else at WB praised him for his acting rather than firing him and they went as far as to say that people will forget about his crimes after watching the movie with so little care for the ones affected by his stupid behavior. I'm not saying I haven't done anything stupid not that I'm perfect, but to do what he did without facing any consequences is just ridiculous.
