I love the part where you talk about not being able to fly without your “pozhar” what the kind Russian lady is saying is: “пожар правого двигателя” which says: “pozhar pravogo dvigatelya” which means, “right engine fire” 😂 coming from Poland, and being a language guy I know a bit of Russian. I had the score being 2-2 with the 5th round likely going to the Raptor. Theoretically the Fulcrum should be able to contend pretty well in a one circle. The Fulcrum can do some super wonky things when turning tight. But, so can the Raptor. It's just crazy how the Raptor can literally just point it's nose at stuff damn near at will in turn fights. I'm pretty damn surprised.

@@taylorc2542 during the regular day at my duty station. I was a awy from my jet I was on, while weapons shop was doing ops checks on the the MWB in the belly of the jet. The fire suppression went off , so the the whole spot was covered in foam. Worst yet the jet was the SQ commanders 😳

I’m a sideline fan of amazing aircraft- mostly for vision engineering. I don’t know if DCS has one, or anyone is thinking about it- but F-104’s were way ahead of their time. It’s limited on missile carrying, but it would be interesting to see that one. The F-106 would be interesting as well- both had very long service histories.

I have a personal request from back in the day! Circa 1991, in Chuck Yeager's Air Combat, I battled an F-4E Phantom II with a P-51D Mustang with a "good" or "excellent" pilot. It took me about an hour and a half to 2 hours to defeat the F-4E - I'd love to see you recreate that matchup on your channel! I consider it my greatest victory in that game. I'd love to see you play out a clash from different eras! The Phantom couldn't lock missiles onto the P-51 from lack of heat signature and I could outturn the F-4 - so I flew underneath and strafed its underbelly. You're WAY better at this than I could ever have hoped to have been so I don't think it'll take you 2 hours to complete - but I'd love to see 2 competent pilots duke it out! Thanks, Snake

People generally only think about stealth in terms of air defence installation or enemy aircraft detection but it also has an impact on the ability of the weapons themselves to obtain and maintain track. The HUD is the only artefact that betrays her 'age' but if you imagine a mid life update of 'Super Raptors' that incorporate the F-35's helmet mounted displays and sensors, plus whatever else has been learnt over the past 20 odd years she would be a fiendishly dangerous adversary. Lethal.

yes, Russia does not have modern aircraft modifications in DCS. All that is is old stuff. There has long been a need for the Su-30 and MiG-29 SMT (Yes, the SMT is ugly but there are many of them) a MiG-35 piece products.

In a dogfight the F4 is gonna absolutely crush the mig25 and (unless it’s a late mig23 variant) the mig23 would also lose. In BVR the f4 would not have any hope to defeat an R40 armed mig25, and the MiG23 has also quite an edge over the phantom in a fox 1 fight

After watching all the awesome F22 videos, I'm curious - given it's a mod and the flight characteristics are classified, how realistic is the f22? Is its performance based on the game's interpretation of its model, or is it a case of the modder making best guesses on values?

probably taken from ideal situation like aerobatic flights and translated into the raptor being able to do these things at all speeds and all times so most likely not very accurate

Exactly. Take anything about the F-22 in DCS with a huge grain of salt. Same can be said of later generation Russian and Chinese planes. Pure guessing and these mods mean nothing.

If something comes close to an F22 to dogfight, the whole air combat doctrine of the US has failed. The Mig would have an Amraam lauched at it before it knows something's there. But once in dogfighting range: As the Mig29 is an extremely nimble aircraft it is highly unlikely that a plane that had to compromise aerodynamics for stealth is able to beat it it that task.

@@edwardmiller4562 Every airplane ever compromises for aerodynamics. That is a fundamental and not removable part of the design process and super cruise ability is not an argument against that. Super cruise is even easier in a not very maneuverable aircraft. As a matter of fact - stealth is one huge demand more that puts additional strong requirements on the complete surface. Compromises HAVE to be made. Who does not know that is not an engineer, but a fan boy.

@@XFSAngelOfDeath you have no proof to backup your opinion about it being the best, not saying the skuhoi is better but you cant say which is better since both of the planes are impossible to make a realistic model of cuz of their secrecy and never have met in combat

@@XFSAngelOfDeath Well the SU-57 is modern and more technologically updated, but the F-22 still has more features classified compared to the SU-57. In a fight I could see the F-22 lose, but in my opinion in an actual war I could see a 6.5 wins to 3.5 losses
