If the map has good terrain that you can use as a cover I launch one gbu at mid alt from big distance and then go for another one from a different angle at lower alt when I peak over a mountain, usually works like a charm. A10 is even better for it, launch one maverick from one side of the mountain and quickly go for another one from the other side then immediately go low and start to close in to pantsir in case you will need to launch the third one

With the tornado i just take the none guided bombs with a targeting pod and then as im diving to the hug the floor i see if i can spot any spaa and if i do i just carpet bomb the place at low alt while going super fast which works quite a lot of the time

@@salexander3639 just remember, they said the 2S6 is "significantly inferior" to all other top tier SPAA and then had to directly nerf it in order to make that statement true, in hopes no one would remember how it actually performed. The 2S6 was already the best SPAA in the game, they had to nerf it directly to make their lie true just to add an even better and broken overpowered SPAA to replace it.

Unfortunately Gaijin has made their excuses already so its unlikely to happen. I'm just hoping for AA parity so that more nations (Japan, Israel, Italy) get top tier AA. Gaijin are hacks who would rather add another top tier AA to an already overwhelmingly powerful top tier nation instead of filling out the very obvious gaps in other tech trees

Its wild to think that where the F-4E is at, is not its best. The F-4E served until 1996 and used a lot of other weapons that are in game, just not on it. IRL it carried Aim-7Fs, had 3 different pylons for drop tanks, it also had the same targeting pod as the Kurnass 2000 that could be used in the embedded sparrow groove, not to mention the fact it could carry GBU-10s, 12s, Agm-45s, and Agm-88s. And one final thing is that I remember seeing somewhere about how some of them received radars with pulse doppler late in their service life.

Gaijin is looking into giving them more loadouts but don’t hold your breath, they’ll prob gimp it, it should have CAA scanning and air to ground modes too, it can basically carry everything the kurnass 2000 has

Yep, low altitude is the best. These Pantsirs are sometimes brain-dead. I do a lot of low-altitude strikes in the A-10A Late with AGM-65D Mavericks. They seem not to notice until it's too late. Well, at least that's my experience. They are still scary as hell though.

I dont know how you saw that first set of targets. No zoom AND black&white is crazy hard to spot targets with, not to mention the terrain on that map is dark in some places. YT might just not be doing a good job with the picture of the video on my end idk.

Managed to take out a Pantsir with a walleye A-7E, but then got taken out by a Z-19 just hovering out in the middle of the sky, fearing nothing. I'm really feeling the balance here.

Still trying to grind my way up through air RB to get all the tools for CAS, then I'll have to get used to the designators and such, but so far I'm mostly eating missiles and losing 2v1 or 3v1 or sometimes even 4 and 5v1 gun engagements when all the maneuvers in the world wont save you cause you're fighting the whole team. It's also difficult to get a proper dogfight going most of the time unless you can surprise someone. It looks like a lot of fun when it's well done, hopefully I'll get there eventually. Thanks for the regular inspiration!

Try air sim my friend, better than Air RB .. you might suffer a little bit finding a proper lobby with decent teammates but you can leave anytime and try another room.

to be fair, its not simply gaijin deciding that cas should be from low altitudes in contested airspace, thats just how aircraft are supposed to deal with air defence, sneak up and then strike from their ideal range. you only go high alt into a sam network if you have arms, and even then its often not advised. in fact one of the bigger dangers posed by long range sams is actually that they force you low enough for stingers to engage you, which is far more likely to kill you than a 20 mile shot with a fox 1. obviously the pantsir is more than most aircraft are equipped to deal with, and thats simply stupid of gaijin to add, but its not like its a difficult system to counter, and based on the gameplay youve absolutely figured that out.

Devs don't play their game so their evaluating is not really accurate. They think 2s6 KD is bad because it is bad SPAA, they don't know half of 2s6 users play it to engage tanks.

How do you get your TV guided munitions to track moving targets from those distances? Whenever I try with ordinance like mavericks, they only are able to track moving targets if I launch from like 2 km.

Hey hunter, I’ve been having issues with the F-4E’s targeting camera. Whenever I flip to it mid-flight it is un-stabilized and is bound to the planes movements, making it difficult to quickly target ground targets. Is their a setting so it is automatically stabilized when accessing it, or have you had any similar problems. I’m on console btw. Thank you!

Hello my friend, I recommend A-7E for you because it is unique, it has TGP with thermal imaging and zoom in\out, and last time I checked both GBU-8 and Walleye glide well .. GBU-8 has bigger explosive mass though. After getting used to CAS with A-7E use F-16 or F-4E next. F-16 for longer ranges GBU-8 drops and F-4E for shorter ranges drops and terrain masking, it can dodge SAM better than F-16 because it is more maneuverable at high speeds than F-16. Good Luck :)

Hunter got any tips how to grind the A-7D? without the guidance weaponry it's very difficult to even do something with all these AA's already locking on to you when u spawn in.

Bomb in sim, today I was playing A-7D in air sim .. carry 6x 2000lb, you can destroy 6 ships or three bases per one run. Today BR rotation was 9.7 max so it was fun. (A-7D is 9.7 in sim)

Off topic, did th VT-1 missile handling change recently? I can now see it has 50g at 1350ms roughly and used to be set at 35g. It now spirals around once fired and I feel it pulls less than 35g's. Very bad missile handling, is not good at taking out jets notching.

Be as fast as possible, GBU-8 can be dropped at Mach 1 speed but also careful with the pitch angle .. these bombs can over\undershoot if the approach was not reasonable. The faster you are the farther distances these bombs can reach.

I use 3 GBUs so I can carry two Sidewinders for air defense, Sparrow alone is not enough, both Walleye and GBU-8 are good at gliding .. I wanted to show both of them in one video. I think GBU-8 is the better choice now because it has bigger explosive mass. Thanks a lot :)

F-4E , F-16 still compresses

F-16 for longer ranges GBU-8 drops, like 10-12km. F-4E for terrain masking and shorter ranges GBU-8 drops because it is more maneuverable than F-16 at high speeds.

Hello, the situation of Kurnass 2000 is similar to Harrier GR.7, Maverick D and laser GBUs. Sadly no TV bombs. I hate Maverick missile :(

Hello, to show both of them in one video .. I think both glide well if you were fast, so I would choose GBU-8. Remember that A-7E has a different Walleye, it is Walleye ER and "ER" stands for extended range, it should glide for longer distances.

Hi Hunter, When I lock up a target and drop a guided bomb, The sight is reset, and I have to require the target before I get too close to drop another, I've noticed that when you do this, the designator stays in the same position, allowing you to drop multiple bombs in quick succession. Do you know what I may be doing wrong? A key bind not bound or something? One more thing, Sometimes when I lock targets with GBU'S and Mavericks, and then I try to unlock (If I missed or locked the ground by accident) The Designator doesnt unlock, I have to turn the aircraft away to break the lock, This means that if I miss lock I have to restart my run entirely and is quite frustrating. Do you know why this may be happening? Many Thanks and Love the Content!

Tbh I find the f4 to be more efficient than the f16 much lest sp and sl, the fact that u can pull more aoa at high speeds is a plus also

I like to play tanks like in real life lol, hull down and snipe .. then counter attack when I feel a gap is made in the enemy territory, for helicopters the best is fly low to the flank and use terrain cover to your advantage, you might not see much but to me destroying 2 tanks and survive better than destroying 4 tanks and die. They bug and explode in air, they don't reach to target sometimes and also they can't kill well, someday I got a "hit" on a TOR M1 using a Maverick B, I stopped using it since then.

They’re still hit or miss. I carry x3 mavs with x3 GB8. I’ll fire 2 mavs in a 7-8 sec interval. GBU-8’s are good but you may have to drop 2 on a pantsir

Only reason to use f4e IMO in this time would be the Zunis, too bad gaijin nerfed that also and now you cant launch them if ur over mach, however they are by far the best cure for Pantsir IF you know where they are, main reason for that is that the zunis triger the fuse on SPAAs missiles

It is much much maneuverable than F-16 at high speeds so it is better at dodging Pantsir missiles. F-16 is better at longer ranges GBU-8 drops because it is faster.

I wanted to show both of them in one video, I think both glide well .. both lock vehicle - not ground - from 4km distance .. so GBU-8 is the better choice.
