You do honor and respect for Chopin's intimacy with the piano. I'm sure he'would have also like internet broadcasting all over the world from his private homes. It's a great recipe we can also taste. Thank for making his music hearable.

Beyond Chopin's improvisatory tendency on innovative forms, this prelude right after its cadenza, reminds me of the duel scene from Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin". The same earth drama leading to a better universe, perhaps ... Mo Niemczuk, your devout silence before starting your play, imposes sacred feelings to all of us. We owe you for this aesthetic transgression.

My dear Gregorz, Thank you ever so much for this analysis your magnificent play. This has always been my favourite Chopin's piece. I have heard it.for the first time when I was a melancholic 13 year old teenager back in 1974, decades ago, when I had saved enough money to buy a record of Preludes by Adam Harasievich. I knew the opus 28 from my teacher but I fell in love with it there and then. And yes , very few play it, almost no recordings, and heneral disinterest. I then went on in life and became a ballet dancer, and now a teacher and choreographer. I NEVER had the courage to choreograph on it, and never really new why, since I love the piece so much. I even included in my will that I wanted it played in my funeral. And in the end you said it : IT MAKES TIME STOP. That is it. Thanks for this. Also I cannot emphasisze enough how much your analysis inspired me. I am truly grateful to you! Renato Paroni, English National Ballet

I'm speechless... Thank you so much for such a beautiful comment. You must be a very special, spiritual and sensitive person if that's your favorite Chopin's piece.... A few days ago I watched a ballet choreography for Verdi's Requiem. That makes me think that you with your love towards this music could make a fantastic piece of art if you ever decide to choreograph to this. I myself would love to see it..... All the best! Thank you again ❤️

Wonderful! No worries about forgetting this opus from me! It is on my list to play this early next year! I am already working out the cadenza in between current other projects (including the Chopin Waltz op64#2) 🙂 (I don't expect to get near your mastery! but the journey will be ... colourful). One more thing. After listening to your rendition/analysis of op45, it has given me a new intuitive feel for playing the middle (più lento) section of op64#2. It is as though I feel Chopin's musical intentions more! Thank you for that!

I always thought Polonaise fantasie was the greatest example of Chopins Genius in regards of innovation, However this man just proves me wrong every time I discover a new piece by him! Impressionism in every sense! during the romantic period! If someone told me this was written by Debussy I wouldn't even doubt it!

Thanks for this. I've never found a good recording myself and as a blind musician from the UK, it's very hard to find a good transcription in braille as well. I have managed to get a copy through someone from Denmark who transcribed it for me using Lime (a notation package) and converted it into braille so that I could learn it. The fingerings especially for the coda are very difficult to pedal properly though, the notation I had didn't include some of the markings which leaves it to me for the interpretation. Either way, I liked hearing this version because I have an idea of how best to structure the playing. I'm not anywhere up to your standard of course′
