Chopin would be pleased to hear this version. Played with lots of feeling and sensitivity.

This was the softest, most heartfelt version of this independent prelude I have heard in a long time. Totally romantic and beautiful, like Adeeva herself. Bravo, maestra!

Her confidence is amazing. She only plays Chopin's masterpieces in every round. It was also a great choice to choose this prairie. It showed such a beautiful performance. I was amazed for five minutes.

Supremely beautiful performance, full of heart. To quote Beethoven "To play a wrong note is insignificant. To play without passion is inexcusable" - not that there were any actual wrong notes, just a couple of nervous bits early on (she is it seems actually human)... And the cadenza was absolutely stunning (I thought Rubinstein's was superb but this was even more amazing)!

Beautiful. One of the most emotive preludes for me. The cadennza section was played beautifully. After it i give the start pf the descending rh more oomph at the c# and I missed that feeling. I know the pressure of judged performance though, and coping with that is admirable in itself ..i suddered terribly before performance even afyer weavh performance wasfine, it did not abate. Xx

@@shri777 Who says it should be legato? It says leggier in the score as well as Cadenza which very much implies play it faster. This is pretty perfect to me

@@HeartofthePiano maybe, but I see "legierissimo e legato" in the score and I play it very light and delicate and smooth, actually I heard that from Alexei Lubimov too and it sounds subtle, gentle and transparent as well as masterly.

she plays it with feeling, but seems reluctant to bring out the depth of all the notes, and she lets the left and right hands drift rather than extracting all the colour and emotion that is in the piece. She seems unsure as to where the climax is in each phrase, hence the whole is slightly underpowered.

You really think someone attends the Chopin Competition with a piece he or she is unsure about the phrasing? You obviously have no idea on what deep level these musicians study these pieces. You might not like her interpretation and that is totally fine but the arguments you bring up here are just pure gibberish.
