I think an interesting consideration with Jos & Max is just how much Max is on the same page as his dad, considering that Jos abused his mum. Is he 100% with his dad? Is he divided? By everything we've seen in the last couple of years the only people Max has made it very publicly clear that he's completely loyal to are Helmut & Adrian. So just how much Max is on the same page as his dad is an interesting question.

I'm amazed F1 hasnt tried more to cut down the Red Bull advantage, given the currently popularity of the sport. They have history of this. We're risking turning a lot of new fans away at a time when it should be booming.

I'm surprised that my fellow Americans didn't mention Major League Baseball's soft cap with a luxury tax. Teams can blow past the budget cap but they pay a "tax" back to the MLB organization and a portion of that is given to teams which haven't overspent. To me that system would be perfect for Formula One. The smaller teams who couldn't even spend up to the previous budget cap would then have the addition cash to be able to do so. As for the investigation of the Horner situation, the FIA has no remit to do so. If Red Bull or Horner had broken the Sporting, Technical or Financial regulations, they could investigate. As far as I know the current Horner situation was an internal Red Bull issue. Until the accuser doesn't file a formal workplace complaint with some governmental agency or a personal law suit against Red Bull and Horner, Formla One Management (who may have contractual oversight) really has no say. If the Verstappens and allegedly Austrian Red Bull owners want Horner gone, they need for her to sue Red Bull and Horner.

To the argument of domination, sport has always had these moments and yet somehow it's survived. Furthermore, even though we don't like it, don't think it's so entertaining, it's making more money. Ratings by nature were bound to hit a high due to DTS, and like any broadcast show, you expect a significant drop off in viewership. On the Max part, he also said he is happy at the team and if you listen to the tone amongst the RB team is that this is now behind us and we move on. Jos and CH flexing is not new and Max said they are both grown men and can figure things out. And on this point, Max likes a winning car and RB is the best seat on the grid. As for the investigation not being public, I think they did it right. I'm certain those who need to know had access to the information and those who don't, well at least now you know where you stand in the value chain. There's this misplaced assumption that unless we are all in the loop then things are not credible or transparent. There's a sense of over importance by media and public who feel the need to know. No, we don't, we want to know but we don't need to know. There's a lot of assumptions on our part and people are mad that RB didn't respond they way people want. This would have more traction if the parties involved in the investigation came and said the process wasn't fair. Since none of that has come to light yet, we really can't say it was not transparent. Oh let's not conflate issues, the Jos CH is not the same as the investigation which was closed. Let's not forget the lady had a week to appeal which ended yesterday. If she didn't the case has been closed. As Checo and Max said, we can now move on.

Reasons for max to move: 1: Horner is staying and jos has some beef with horner maybe if rumours are to be believed jos has an affair with the same lady as horner did 2. Lewis moving to ferrari and getting $100 million 3. Horner wouldn't give max the preferential treatment that he is used to 4. Redbull in long term are seriously gonna have problems with engine suppliers, probably going back to renault or begging Mercedes

It all makes sense that Max decided to go to Mercedes since Ford more or less decided to quit. Last year there were already frictions between Horner and Marco. Marco and RedBull Austria wanted Porche to deliver the 2026 engines and Horner and RedBull Thailand blocked that. Max made it very clear that he was loyal to Marco. And there were also rumors about a possible interest of Horner to take over RedBulll with the support of the Thai stockholders of RedBull. When Max will go to Mercedes it is very possible that Marco will join him. The cooperation between Toto and Lauda was very good and as Marco is also Austrian a similar cooperation is very possible.Also Newey could have interest in joining Max as a complete new car should be built in 2026 and as the motor will be a major issue, Mercedes has a lot of know how that Newey would like to use to build a perfect car.

no way he leaves for mercedes until 2026. he has the next 2 championships wrapped up already. another 45 to 48 wins. he is not going to give that up. the problem with private investigation is they have zero power. they cannot subpoena evidence, arrest anyone, charge people with perjury or planting evidence. it makes sense to fire the employee if the found no evidence and it was made up. then again she should go to the police and ask for an investigation. another problem is what country did this happen and has jurisdiction.
