I was a huge fan of this product on my Corvette. However...after seeing how long it lasted on my truck... I'm a little cautious.

After having been recommended Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax aerosol spray as a less expensive alternative to F11 , I decided to give it a try. It's easy on, easy off like F11, but absolutely DOES NOT leave the same "slick" feel that F11 does. I applied it to the entire surface of the car and thought it looked similar to the F11 as far as finish goes. Then for laughs decided to apply a small area of F11 on the upper rear deck lid. I buffed off the F11 then ran my finger over them starting on the Ultimate Quik Wax section leading onto the F11 section. It was like night and day. The F11 left a much slicker surface. Also, Ultimate Quik Wax doesn't go well with plastic. I accidentally got some on the black plastic near the windshield. It ended up looking like it had dried it out to a dull finish, whereas the F11 worked well on the plastic sections of the Vette. Also, you can't use Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax on glass. Says so on the aerosol bottle. I'll be sticking with the F11 until I find something that works better. Please note that my 2012 Corvette Grand Sport is a garage queen. F11 works well on vehicles that aren't subject to the elements.

I was getting ready to pull the trigger on purchasing the F-11 Top Coat, but l decided to look at a few reviews before my purchase. $59. for a bottle make F-11 an expensive experiment, only to find out another products claim/s don't stand up to the hype by the company. Then to also find out customer service is also not up to par, has made me have a change of heart. Thank you for your evaluation of Top Coat. You have changed my mind on my purchase. I'll just keep my money in my pocket. Again, thank you for your review.

GREAT Follow up.......I wanted to believe, and can't. I too did two coats, did every inch of the truck like I'd never touched it (windshield and windows included). Took about 4-5 weeks, went to carwash 2 days ago and did "water only"....and noticed it DIDN'T get the truck clean. I'm losing faith as well (and as you said, I watched ALL of your reviews in order to feel confident to snag this product). Not your fault, just VERY glad you posted this follow up (thought maybe I was the oddball).

Appreciate it....its a Toyota Tundra, so the time investment is about an hour to do it start to finish (if it doesn't perform, its not worth the investment (at 4 weeks performance (for me). PS That Vette sold me, they should send you a year or two supply so you can keep the Vette looking sharp because of how many customers you helped them reel in lol.

The product is still there protecting. The beading and slickness naturally do not stay forever, they aren't designed to. When it comes time for a cleaning, use nothing but F11™ to wipe the vehicle down. Only use water if it has heavy debris on the surface. You can use 2oz or less on that entire vehicle every time you clean it. I use the windshield as a gauge of when I use F11™ again. If you start noticing that the performance against water is lacking on the windshield, then it's time to wipe it all down with F11™. The more layers you build, the better it gets. 3 layers seems to be what most people like the best but most go well beyond that. After 3 layers it requires a buffing compound to get it off. Also remember, you can use F11™ on 100% of the vehicle. Let us know if you have any questions!

TopCoat® So you're saying we have to use $8 worth of product every 7 weeks when it stops beading? If that's the case you should offer a large discount to all repeat customer orders, your profit margin has to be enormous enough to give your customer base a break on continuing to buy your product. I think I'll go back to my old product that last longer than it did for this guy, and cost about a third.

TopCoat® I can tell you this he’s buffing the other product in this is just a wipe on wipe off an yes the more layers the better. I worked in the automotive industry (mechanic/collision) a long time an any ANY wax loses its beading affect after being outside for a couple of weeks thus reapply it to fix.

I'd like to add a comment! I have a 65 GTO I restored in the middle 90's, like most here, we're always searching for a great product, I can also state the car has never had water on it probably in 20 years. Its never been dirty enough. I'm big into detail "BIG" We all know the routine and the lengths we go through to get a shine, then a shine to get rid of swirls, then use a hand glaze, then try to predict if the humidity might be causing why the stuff sets up like concrete? Then old age creeps up and your wrists and fingers want to do their own dance. The car isn't a trailer queen, but I detail it every time I drive it. My point is I like TopCoat for the ease of applying it and also its forgiving when you get it on plastic and not get a haze on it. Like many I've tried a lot of the sprays. On my GMC Denali I clay bar it but didn't clay with F11. Right after the cleaning I F11 it 2 times. My wrists and fingers were holding up! I haven't done my Harley yet. I'm not saying go out and buy it, I am saying i'll continue to use it, I like the hell yes shine it gives and that slick feel. Its an all purpose detailer. I even spend a couple days under the car polishing everything! Maybe not Big into detail could be OCD, lol

Thank you for being honest in your recommendations. I didn't research before I bought 4 16 oz bottles (only watched the advertising videos before I bought $200 worth). I sent email and left telephone message for f11 but did not receive any response from the Company. The F11 lasted 4 weeks on my BMW m3 (which is under a car cover in moderate temperature San Francisco Bay Area). I would like to return the product but they don't have a mechanism to do so. When I first bought it the looked fabulous and I also recommended it to friends but I want to say F11 does not last even 4 weeks and does not prevent the lightest scratches. F11 is a scam (expensive and company does not stand behind product)

I would recommend trying Adams Polishes products if you havent already, specifically H20 Guard and Gloss, and they also have everything you need to do your own ceramic coating should you choose to go that route. They are a company based right here in the USA and after adding their H20 Guard and Gloss to my car washing regiment I must say Im quite happy with the price to performance ratio i get from it, its worth noting they have fairly regular sales you can wait for if you want to get some products to test

You can remove f11 washing with soap. I use it in place of detail spray. If the car was so dirty I had to scrub and use detergent it's safe to say I'm stripping product as well as everything else. Yes it costs more but I'd pay it for the results you get.

Hey guys, just wanted to say … there isn't a substance in existence that UV rays won't break down. Roads fall apart, roofs disintegrate, Deck stain disappears etc.. Granted...the price point suggests a better product, right? The only things that don't break down, in the presence of UV rays are living plants. Maybe if the protection lasts a month, that's better than most of the other products.

I realize that no product lasts "for ever" but there are products that do perform and last a lot longer that this product. If you are in to car care....I would highly recommend a ceramic coating. I have done reviews on ceramic coatings and the application on my channel. If applied properly....these products can easily last for 2 or more years (depending on the amount of coats and maintenance during coating ...such as types of chemicals put on the car after the coating has been applied)

I just watched one of your other f11 videos. Did you do all the paint prep on the jeep that you did your vet? That could be part of it. Also I wonder if it has something to do with the paint on jeeps. I had issues with with beading stopping on my jeep after only a couple weeks. with regular waxes and polish.

Just like most jobs, the longevity of the coating is only as good as the prep. I get months of protection, even using the standard Topcoat sealant, and not the enhanced F11. Here is how I prep. I wash the car with their Polywash product. I dry, and then I clay bar the whole car to remove deeply imbedded dirt that is in the pores of the paint. This is dirt you cannot see, but you can feel it if you rub your fingers over the paint. I then wash the car again. I then apply the Topcoat. I can easily spend 4-8 hrs. On washing, clawing, and prep. I only spend about 20 minutes applying the actual coating.

I wanted to believe as well. But I think this product might work better on garaged vehicles (case in point your Vette), such as motorcycles. I don't have a garage for my cars so they're exposed to the elements and wanted to see if F11 would keep my cars cleaner longer in between "water-only" washes. I Followed instructions, used it over the summer, achieved a great shine, but it did not really save me time from washing my cars less frequently like I was hoping it would by keeping the vehicles cleaner longer. AND I just did not like the results from washing with JUST water and a soft cellulose sponge - I also ended up with very minor scratches in a few areas - sure maybe it was me. After the first couple of coats, it didn't shine any better or bead water any better than the other products I use. After 4-5 coats, same results - a great shine, but nothing better than other products I used. Still doesn't bead water any better either, in fact, my other products seem more hydrophobic than F11. Of course, TopCoat keeps saying, "put more on, put more on, it'll perform better the more you use... the more you BUY." Sure, I get it, but all it did for my cars was give a nice shine, but any quality product can do that. F11 just didn't seem to last and I could foresee that I would have to buy a lot more to maintain it. Now there's nothing wrong with that if you got the funds to get the big $300 gallon that might last you a long while (I think it's on sale for $200 at the moment). But the results aren't any better than conventional products/routines, and with the regular maintenance my exposed vehicles require, I'll eventually start leaving scratches in it if I follow the water-only-and-sponge method. In the end I decided to go back to my old fashioned two-bucket wash/seal/wax routine for peace of mind.

I could not agree with you more. I tried F-11 after seeing your videos a few months ago. The product gives excellent gloss, but washes off easily. I tried contacting Topcoat by e-mail, telephone and FaceBook. No one ever returned any of multiple messages that I left, so I’m unable to return the product. F-11 is a big scam that has absolutely no customer support. I have a Chevelle and Camaro, both black. I will use the F-11 on my weekend rides until it’s gone, but I will never give my business to that POS company again. I’ll end here with a recommendation. Meg’s Fast Finish is only $10 at Walmart last far longer than F-11 and gives the same high gloss wet look for a fraction of the price. Fast Finish comes in an aerosol can. All you do is lightly spray a microfiber towel, wipe it on and remove it with a clean dry microfiber. Meg’s is marketing Fast Finish as their most durable product ever. After trying F-11 and Fast Finish, Meg’s wins hands down! I would love to see you try out Fast Finish on your beautiful black Corvette and do a review/comparison video. I think you’ll be as amazed as I was! I enjoy your videos, so keep up the great work.

Randy Morobitto Chevelle is a triple black 1967 SS and Camaro is a black 2013 RS/2SS. I’ve used Collinite 845 and 915 for years. It’s a great wax. Sometimes, I just need something that I can apply quickly. Also, I try not to use wax during the summer months since wax will degrade in high temps.

Steve Greer - NICE rides! Meg's Ultimate is all synthetic, so it MIGHT work, though I don't know it's boil-off point... Ever try Finish Kare's FK1000P? It's the "Hi-Temp Wax." Supposed to be able to hold to 250+ degrees. I won't say it's a "deep" look, but it DOES look like a glass coat was applied. What I noticed though, was that water beads up like crazy, but the beads are in no hurry to fall off - even when driving, and unfortunately DID leave the dust rings when it dried. It lasted about 3-ish months on my roof with failing clear coat (neglected early on; my own fault...), and is still beading on the sides; about 4-ish months, maybe? (I really slacked this summer, to be honest.) Wash it off, and maybe go over it once in a while with a quick detailer, and it'd probably look REAL good. I like it for summer, then as we move to cooler temps, I go to the Collinites. Also, Klasse - All-In-One and Sealant Glaze for summer, since it's acrylic-based. I used them on another car, and the sides are still decent 3+ months out. It's a lighter color, so I really can't tell if water leaves rings when dried. Didn't look to have any... I won't say it has the shine of the FK; it's more of what I'd call a "clean" look. Roof application lasted maybe 2 months, but the clear coat is actually all but gone from there. I tried to "imitate" clear coat with 11 coats of the Glaze, but really, no-go, so I'll be throwing multiple coats of the FK on there; see what happens. It may-or-may-not make a difference, but eh, at least it'll be protected, and easier to clean snow, etc., off. For as nice as Meg's looks, and is SOOO easy to use, it simply DOES. NOT. LAST. for me. MAYBE 2 months...

Steve, I couldn't agree more! I bought the 3 bottle package a few months ago and am now on my last bottle. Although it makes the finish look outstanding immediately after it is applied, I still have to apply it after every wash. And I only use it on my garage queens (Corvette GS, Yamaha Raider, Honda CBR954rr). The shine just didn't last very long on my daily driver. I too won't be reordering once it is gone. Definitely going to look into The Meg's Fast Finish.

Have to admit...I thought you were paid spokesman for F11...wasn't going sub. Turns out you're just an honest dude. Seems like the only way to properly care for a vehicle's paint is the old school way. No matter what the product is...its still a mechanical bond.....the easier on the easier off....PERIOD. I believed the hype, too. TC is SNAKE OIL! I did half my car in Collinite @ $20 for 16oz and the other half with F11 @ $60 for 16 oz. the shine was identical, but the Collinite side beaded water noticeable better! Collinite lasts 6 weeks to 2 months on my outdoor car in New England. 2 DAYS later the F11 stopped beading drastically, probably the same amount that the Collinite slows it's beading in around 6 weeks. IMHO this product is a SCAM!!! I will also add if you still want to try it, read the DISCLAIMER and the REFUND POLICY before dealing with this company. This alone should dissuade you from buying from these thieves!!!

I also have it and still not sure if I’m sold. Starting to think it’s just like any other $10 spray wax. Plenty of customers post to their Facebook about how great it looks but almost any spray wax will look great at first. I’m going to try Sonax Polymer Net Shield as well a Collinite 845 because of their amazing water behavior traits and great reviews. Did you try wiping the dirt off and then seeing if it beaded? I have noticed that once you clean the dirty top coated surface, it will still bead a bit.

Steve J - Yeah - give it a shot... Reasonably priced, and easy to get. If you like it, they have the "Pro" version (D156 Synthetic X-press Spray Wax), that's supposedly the same stuff, but with less scent - 'cause even a nice scent can gag you, if there's enough of it - and it's available in a gallon, for about $30-ish. I haven't bought THAT one yet, but thinking about it. I only work on 2 cars, so it's not like I burn through THAT much, but, of course, it's usable at home, too... Windows, chrome faucets, ceramic tile walls (NOT FLOOR!), sliding glass doors, mirrors, etc. I'm thinking I might want to get some before the freezing weather sets in... I'm just not much of a fan of shipping liquids, in case it leaks, that would be a PITA to return, etc., and it's not supposed to be allowed to freeze. If you've never seen Darren Price's videos, he has a - get this - THREE PART video about the X-Wax. About as long-winded as my reply here, but not bad... Makes a good argument for the stuff. Here's part one to start: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ocmUrLOit9LXg2g.html

Hey Steve J - I just wanted to clarify something real quick: The Meg's Ult. Quik Wax won't be a "through-the-winter" thing. I hope I didn't give that impression! It's good for a couple of weeks; I was comparing it to the apparent results of the F11. That Net Shield Ron brought up got some good reviews; they said it was "different" in feel, but seemed to last. There are SOOOOO many choices out there, it's sickening - and can be damn expen$ive. I think for winter, it's more a question of protection if you're in the snow/slop zone. If you're in like, Louisiana, winter isn't a real big thing; if you're in one of the Dakotas, then Nu Finish might even be a good choice... (I don't have enough cars to do to test combinations of even all that *I* have...)

Well THAT about sucks... Thanks for savin' me $60! Sixty bucks is a lot of coin for someone like me to drop for *A* product. I'll make 2 brand/4 product recommendations: Finish Kare's FK1000P. You can do the vehicle in a few sections; put on THIN(!), 20 minutes, then buff off. The beauty is, you can then do the second coat in the same way. If you have a DA, it should be a breeze. I don't, so all by hand, with foam pads (the cheap, disposable ones). I do roof, hood and tailgate, then buff, then one side and buff, and other side and buff. Bumpers I do last. After 3 days, it looks like another layer of clear coat was applied. You MIGHT notice streaks. That's FK you didn't get off. Go over it with some Quick Detailer, and you should be fine. Maybe do FK once, then again, about a week later, after a wash. Otherwise, Collinite! 915 has a similar glassy look; VERY nice on darker colors. 476 is the God of Waxes; looks "clean," like Klasse somewhat, but should last longer, according to reviews. 845 is VERY good also, and even though the least-durable of the Collinites, will easily outlast Meguiar's (in my experience). Always put them all on thin, do the swipe test, and buff away. I'd only do ONE coat of Colli at a session. 845 is the only one that I'm comfortable with on the black, pebble-grain plastic trim pieces, and it's so stupid-easy to use, when we get the break in the winter weather, wash it up, and throw on a quick coat. Don't forget the door jambs, around the hatch, etc.! You COULD do FK, then once cured (~a week) one of the Collinites over it. BTW, the sides looked okay, beading-wise, but they don't get baked like the horizontal panels. Are you sure the clear coat is okay? I've found that dying clear coat reduced the life of my products... Maybe save the Meguiar's for the 'Vette, since it lives indoors... (Maybe the NXT, with a topper of M26!)

It worked great on my Vette as well. That being said, it stays in the garage and doesn't see daily use. I tried it on my 1969 Pontiac. The car sits outside in my driveway. Not only did the F11 not bead after getting it wet with a hose, I had to scrub the hood, roof, and trunk areas. The car hasn't moved in two weeks, yet I still had to SCRUB to get the dust/dirt off? F11 does look good immediately after application, but the results don't last as advertised. I won't be buying again.

I had seen your review on F11 way back and went ahead and bought a 2 pack... gave one to my brother in law for his camaro and one for my bike and wifes car. when I first applied it, it looked great, but when it got a little rain, I never saw any beading. mind you, I had done a very good pre wash and prep. I have put at least 10-15 coats of it on my bike and this passed weekend I was adding another coat and I lost my shit.... my bike looked like complete garbage, no shine, there were streaks all over the paint from application and I knew that if I tried any harder to buff them out I was going to cause scratches. I have tried to contact F11 and they will not respond, I have even left a message saying that I wanted to give them complements on how awesome their product is and nothing.... this stuff is complete garbage, the only way I could see this stuff lasting is if you are going to use it on a garage queen that gets loaded into a trailer, then unloaded at an indoor car show. I will NEVER use this stuff again, and their marketing is a complete lie. I will go back to using chemical guys, dual polymer or meguiars. with those two products I have gone 2-3 weeks without a wash and I would still get beading from water. you should be ashamed of yourselves F11 top coat. i have scheduled a full paint correction for my bike and that is a $300.00 cost that i have to soak up from using this crappy product over a course of 4 1/2 months.

I just used f11 for the first time ever yesterday on my brothers truck.. he bought it and said hey.. give this a shot see how you like it.. I'm kinda anxious to see how long it lasts.. his truck hasn't been waxed in 2+ years.. I don't think it will last very long... 2weeks at the most

I think most of these people don’t prep their cars I think they said to wash your car with like Dawn or something to get all the old waxes and stuff off of it before you plow the F 11 I just wonder if people are doing that.

Thanks a whole lot for the revelation man! Im real sorry for you though, this seems completely unresponsible for such an advertised brand. I just got a mail from my Meguiars dealer here in Sweden - And im most likely buying their Crystal Top Coat instead. The 2017 GTI Clubsport on my channel have 6 Layers of Nano Pearl Hydrophobic sealant applied, & i just wanted something to fill it in abit 1 year after the main seal protection done by my local detailer. Did you have any experience with the Meguiar's Crystal Top Coat?

This product is not worth the cost . it works just as good as any 10 dollar quick detail spray. ceramic coating is the way to go

Corvettefan117, I cringed when you washed your Jeep with water and a brush. The plain water was perfect but the brush is an absolute no no when washing the vehicle! Everything I've learned from TOPCOAT instructions are to use water and a Natural Sponge and/or a very good micro fiber towel. No brushes. In this video, it would have been nice to see you make one swipe over the wet hood with a good micro fiber towel to see the shine on the car and see how much crude was wiped off on the microfiber towel! The spray the hood again and see what happens to the water on the area you wiped.

I bought it for my Hyper Blue Camaro. WD40 does the same effect but (don't use soap cause it will get washed off.) Class action lawsuit is what they should get. My thoughts anyways. I'll stick to tried and true and work at my car being Beautiful! Fuck 11

Try Gtechniq C2V3. Better product and cheaper to use. All Gtechniq products work great for what they're designed for. Go to Autogeek.com and educate yourself. Coating technology is fabulous today. It's not hype. It works.

You should be disappointed, the product is very expensive, that is coming from the opinion following over 30 years of professional detailing. The product is not what they claim and washes off, customer service absolutely is horrific, I will never recommend them or purchase their product again.

Albert OConnor At the time of that review (a year and a half ago) I did like the product. I put it on all of my vehicles including my corvette. It wasn’t until several weeks later that I realized it didn’t last. I would encourage you to check out my channel where you’ll see all the videos. I am currently a shill for ceramic coating as I feel that is the best product on the market for high gloss and protection.
