This is to me the unofficial theme of Factorio. Other songs might be "Better" to other people, but this song encapsulates the game. The mechanical chirps of your factory, the wind in the trees, the desolation and loneliness with a hint of danger on the horizon, and yet it all comes together to make an oddly peaceful and calming experience as you tinker endlessly with your factory to improve it just a little bit more.

They have me surrounded. Those poor bugs.

Imagine finally getting found by a galactic government or something and they wonder how long you've been here by looking at a planetwide factory with artillery cannons perpetually blasting away hoards of biters. They'd probably end up trying to take over or arrest you, then they get blasted out of existence by the dozens of artillery cannons, and so begins a planetary war between an entire empire and one dude with so much free time he could end up building cannons capable of railgunning a projectile into space

This song is creepy, it always causes me to feel so alone. And yet, I love it.

Engineer was indifferent and seemed absorbed in his plans as distant noises of horror initiated by artillery batteries faded away in the constant humming of machinery.

By far the best song in the game, always gives me chills when it comes on. I can't stop hearing Eurythmics singing slowly in the background though...

It's funny how different soundtracks remind me of different stages of the game, this one reminds me of trying to get red circuits to work, Sentient reminds me of working with the train stations near oil, and Efficiency Program reminds me of placing those first few yellow belts

This theme has so much atmosphere packed into it, it is mesmerizing!
