Garden Center Manager Matt Barlow discusses a low light, shade-tolerant Soft Caress Mahonia, Mahonia eurybracteata 'Soft Caress'. As the name suggests the Soft Caress variety of mahonia has leaflets that are soft to the touch, unlike other mayonnaise.
They grow between 3’-4’ tall and create a beautifully fernlike textured coverage. They are Fall season bloomers with yellow flowers that attract pollinators. USDA Hardiness Zones: 7-9
