nah- I was asked to be skyped but I already uninstalled skype ages ago because it was slowing my computer down. I was saying "yeah I'll get skype" but decided I couldn't be fucked out of laziness. So not everyone who refuses skype does this.

Even if you do pretend to be someone else (like ok, I can sort of get that) just don't mess about with people's feelings to the point of them thinking they're dating you or whatever. People that catfish are low and when your excuse is 'oh I was bullied'... That doesn't mean go bully others. Because there are people truly trying to find someone and you've given them a lie and shown them not to trust anyone which makes finding love harder. And to people that get catfished easily, don't be gullible. Video chat, meet people in public places with a friend, and do background checks.

What they missed in that particular episode is how the girl that got catfished found out her sister was also talking to the same fake profile but she refused to stop talking to the "guy" despite the "guy" two timing them both. So the girl that got catfished continued to talk to the "guy" causing a rift between her and her sister. Which is why I didn't feel bad for her at all when she found out it wasn't real. If that happened between my sister and I we would have teamed up against that person and kicked "him" to the curb. She ruined her relationship with her sister for a person that didn't even exist.

Evil Lynn She was a sixteen year old idiot kid who hates the world and is probably battling inner demons due to how messed up our society is. Believe it or not, there are many kids like her out there. What concerns me about that is how the two sisters were so easily divided. To me that says a lot about THEIR relationship because do you know there are tonnes of stories about siblings stealing their sister's husbands and vice versa? She probably won't trust her sister fully again but I think if the internet scam didn't show that, something more serious might. Maybe it's for the best.

Most of the stuff I watch on KZfaq is 15 minutes to 45 minutes long, so I tend to get a little frustrated at things like Game Grumps videos ONLY being 10.... Just in general I wish Facts. videos were AT LEAST more like that traditional 10 minute KZfaq video length, so the fact that this one felt like 2 minutes.... Sooooooooooooooo short.

I've been catfished before, and it does suck, and can be heart-breaking. It's true that there are usually red flags, but the problem with being catfished is simply that people are trusting. When you meet someone online and they seem really cool and honest and open, and you have a lot in common, it's easy to develop feelings for them. Once the feelings are there, even despite some red flags starting to pop up, you want to give the person the benefit of the doubt, because you care about them, and believe they really care about you, too, and wouldn't do something to hurt you. It's a complicated sort of mess that spawns out of something innocent and unpredictable. If you do get catfished, don't blame yourself too much. While naivete often does play a part, the majority of the blame falls on the one who is lying/pretending. They are purposefully taking advantage of your willingness to trust them for their own selfish reasons. The best advice is simply to take off the blinders, accept that they may be a catfish, and be on guard until they've proven beyond a doubt they are who they say (video chat is an ok method, but even that can be faked...crossdressing, someone else playing the part for them, etc.). Don't be too eager to trust until the person has earned it.

Elizabeth Kiefer Lmaoooooooooooooooooo :D Really, there are some huge catfish out there. But what you're talking about is called "noodling"(like "noodle"). The catfish seem to swallow things whole(fun fact/fishing tip: they love chicken livers; I just realized they don't chew it, either!) Some are large enough to think they can take on a fist-sized dinner. Once they try to swallow your fist, you grab onto its insides for a good grip & then pull them out of their hole. Anyway, I enjoyed your comment; it was hilarious, lmao. :) Wreckage Ikr? They don't eat people, lol. Some are really big, but none are that big or capable to eat a human.

My best friend was talking to this guy for a while and she was really starting to like him so she showed me his tinder profile and then I read thru their texts and I was getting a weird feeling about it bc nothing added up so I explained why a lot of the things he said didn't make any sense so she talked to him about it and he came clean and my friend was so shocked that I figured it out. What they leave out is that she stole the Catfish from her sister who was talking to them first and the sisters stopped taking.

was catfished for 9-10 months...numerous phone calls, no video chat, sent 100pics though....all of her son's 23 year old ex-girlfriend (she was twice the age and three times the weight)
