5 days in the purchase of the Cube Stereo hasn't gone to well at all (thats an understatement). What a shame!

“It’s all about the fun, though!” 😄 I own a 2020 Cube Stereo Hybrid and rode it over 1000 km already and had no issues of your sort. So sorry for you and hope you’ll get things sorted out.

I had a cube stereo 160 ebike. 2019 model, I was so impressed with it I’ve bought the 2021 model. No issues as yet, I’ve owned various brands of bike and I find cubes are the best I’ve ever owned.

What issue did you have with your headset? I have just bought the Stereo 160 and the headset is making some weird noises going over bumps as well as a loud clunk occasionally

It came unseated over the first 50 miles, they simply retightened it and job done.

The same issue happened to me. Battary replaced, I deactivated Lock function. No problems for last two months...

Thanks for letting me know, glad I am not the only one! Did you have a burnt connector as well??

No. The battery (or a computer installed in the battery housing) simply dropped dead during/after charging period. Exact reason was not revealed.

It will be interesting to see if it's a Bosch issue or a Cube issue. I am seriously thinking of buying a Cube and its good to see a real world experience. Thanks for sharing and sorry to hear of the issues, but as has been said I would request a replacement bike after 5 days and minimal light use.

my battery failed too after 60 miles. im at 700 now since october and seems ok. rest assured, bosch has 2 yesr battery and you can go to any bosch service centre to have it sorted

Reject the bike, tell the shop you want a new replacement.

It's hovering in the back of my mind for sure, still plenty of time to reject the bike, so will see what happens from now and then on for another week or so and then go from there.

I would recommend filming it when it arrives, and then test all the things I have had issues with to just make sure. Also - for now maybe don't activate the lock? Only, remember - it doesn't really have anything to do with that of course, it's a short.

Well, watch how it all plays out. Could simply be a one off and I, once fixed, have a beautiful experience. But thankfully you can watch and find out without splashing any cash until we get that answer ha ha

I met a guy today that has owned one for 2 months, and he absolutely LOVES his bike. He used to race bikes back in the day, and he said his other bikes now don't ever get touched now that he has his e-bike. He told me it' a game changer, and he's going to buy once for his wife.

No not really. Just get on and ride. Usually if its someone has been going way to fast for a hill climb or just going to fast full stop. The 1000 miler we did for charity was a good sign of the durability to be fair!

Well. E-motors and especially the ancient li-ion batteries are not perfect. Matter-of-fact, a employee of Brose motors, stated that the e-motors of today, are not functioning to their full ability because of lithium-ion batteries. Still waiting for li-ion ceramic batteries or li-sulfur, or lithium-iron-phosphate battery power. E-motors are as complicated as motorcycle engines. Ya take'em apart and maintenance yourself, and ya typically have just voided the warranty. And the warranty is why e-bikes are just astronomical in price.
