I always felt the scene in which Angela discovers that Richard is her son would have been a better conclusion to season 6 so I've edited the end of the episode 'Desperation' (S06E28) to how I would have preferred it to look.

That’s what you call going out with all guns smoking. The best season finale of FC, in my opinion. Melissa was the absolute most entertaining character on the show.

This revelation about Richard's true parentage is a classic.

Ugh. It’s terrible. So tortured and retconned. If this is true, then Jacqueline Perrault’s treatment of Richard earlier in the series makes NO sense. Nor does it make sense that Douglas Channing hid Angela’s baby from her. It was established early in the series that he still loved her and their different career ambitions made it impossible for their marriage to work. A plot twist worthy of a daytime soap opera, written for people who have low standards for writing.

I remember seeing this back in the 80s and having the same reaction about Richard's parentage as I did when I found out that Darth Vader was Luke's father. 😂

@@bluecolor1600 and Robert wanted to come back for season 8 that's why the season 7 cliffhanger when Angela says to a bearded man " isnt if time Maggie and vickie knew you were back ?" Then the producers changed their minds and told him no If Robert came back the show would have lasted into 1995
