Grateful for everyday living on the mountaintop in our transformed log/farmhouse. We offer food from scratch, handmade DIY, old-timey skills, and simple living for 2 (not counting the fur babies)!
We still love to do all the things we did when we had a larger family, only in smaller portions. We love to cook, bake (even on a woodstove), make DIY projects including sewing, weaving, home renovations, and enjoy everyday living in our log/farmhouse on the mountain-ridge!
We still practice old-timey skills that we introduced to our children as they were growing up and homeschooled almost 3 decades ago. Some of these skills that we, as empty-nesters, are still using: soap making with lye, hand-dipping beeswax candles, dyeing textiles, rendering beef fat into tallow, canning, dehydrating and preserving foods, hand-hewing logs, making homemade natural cleaners, bath soaps, and more.

Thanks for the watch and the comment, I have a small primitive doll started, the larger doll may be too complex for some, I hope to have that out soon, For now, I have a spring rabbit done, just need to get the video made and edited, hopefully this week!

I plan on doing a tutorial on how to make the perfect primitive doll head, similar to this doll. Then, eventually the rest of the doll in stages to keep it simple. Thanks for the watch and the comment :)

Coming soon! This week will be DIY pumpkin stem, and a decoupage pumpkin with coffee filters. I am currently working on a pocket doll with a free pattern. Working the way up to the bigger doll for those just starting out. Thank you so much for the watch and comment.

Yes, all the patterns are free under the videos that offer them, there are links that open up directly to the PDF and you just download and print them, look under the video description under the title of the video, under "....more", click that and scroll down to the links.I have a few friends from Canada, so glad to have another one :)

I have free patterns even a primitive doll. I disabled sub pop-ups on mobile since it’s not advised on my blog. I rarely ever send out newsletters since I try and concentrate on videos. I adore her too! I am not sure if that is one I created or purchased, it was a very long time ago. I usually make my own patterns, but on a rare occasion I have purchased one or two and then usually adapt them to my creations. I have a few patterns I recently created and I will be doing videos on them, I hope you'll come back to watch :) Thanks for commenting, it helps grow my channel :)
