These trees back bud really well, only downside, is brown pruning tips, and they sulk when roots are fooled with. Great little forest,good luck nigel. 😊

That forest is really coming along nicely. Quite an improvement from January. I’ve been waiting for the weather to get a bit colder before doing my fall pruning. Summer is definitely in the rear view mirror. Thanks, keep growing

Its looking really good Nigel. I have 8 of these that I grew from seed collected last year from a national trust house here in England. The tree is over 150 years old and I didn't expect the seeds to germinate as most of the cones were still green.
