It is Kaurismäki's 20th full-length film and a continuation of his Proletariat series, which was originally planned as a trilogy and already includes Shadows in Paradise (1986), Ariel (1988), and The Match Factory Girl (1990).[7][8] Alma Pöysti and Jussi Vatanen star in the main roles. The film is produced by Sputnik and Bufo.

jim jarmusch acting small part in aki kaurismäki movie leningrad cowboys goes to america. that was first truly international movie for kaurismäki.

Aki is an incredible film maker, musician and performer. I have been a big fan if his for decades. If you want to see something on KZfaq that shows his talents from years ago, I recommend the song "Through the Wire".

This looks like my type of movie. Definitely on my list. I laughed when you mentioned Jim Jarmusch because as you were reviewing the movie he came to my mind as well.

As I was watching it I thought to myself this like Jarmusch doing Chaplin. So I had a chuckle to myself with the final scene of the film.
