" I watched Black Panther cuz I'm black" - I get that, I watched Shang-Chi and Eternals cuz I had to support the Asians lol (legit a conversation I had with my siblings), I mean they were a good watch though. The fight sequences in Shang-Chi was like watching a beautiful choreography

@Zua Cole yup it's the norm, the "standard". I remember seeing Crazy Rich Asians, I do love rom coms for one, but I finally got to see myself on screen, a North American Asian as the protagonist, not the side kick, not a kung fu master asexual human but an actual person after decades of not being represented, it felt amazing, like we are actual people worth having on big screens and shocker, and that was a box office hit regardless of ethnicity anyway.
