first time ever touching a fallout game. never consumed any fallout content until the show came out so heading out to the wasteland is kind of wild.

13:11 There's around 122 known public Vaults according to the lore. out of the 122 only 17 were control Vaults, basically Vaults that work operate normally as advertised. So alot of room for future Fallout content to explore new Vaults thanks to the large number across the United States and even Canada. The earliest Vaults began on the West and then spread out so that's why you'll find Vaults with higher numbers on the East Coast like Vault 101 for example.

3 is (imo) the best starting point for new players because NV is considered better than 3. If you played NV 1st, 3 feels like a downgrade. 4 is quite busted atm with the new update so hopefully when you get to it, it's actually fixed :) enjoy!

Fallout 3 is great, and I feel like it's often overlooked, despite it being hugely popular when it came out. NV is still probably my fave by a slim margin, but 3 is great. I guess it's not easy to get it runnin on modern hardware, so maybe that's why it's starting to be forgotten?

A lot of people did recommend for me to get some mods that will help with crashes but I don't mind that or bugs tbh. It adds to the experience for me.

This game will always be a masterpiece in my eyes. A true ruined wasteland, a sense of bleakness, danger, wonder and freedom.

Fallout 3 is probably a good place for a modern gamer to start, but if you are interested in the old ones (which feature tactical turn-based combat) it is available on GOG. GOG isn't as well known today as it should be, but it specializes in DRM-free legal copies of classic games (and some newer games). Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics are each priced at $10, but regularly go on sale for 75% off (and are currently on sale until midnight tomorrow, May 1st). GOG is operated by CD Projekt, the parent company of the studio that made Cyberpunk 2077 and the Witcher games.

I’m playing for the first time, and I found the dog. I immediately looked up if the dog can permanently die, and since I can’t get the dlc perk that brings him back to life I just immediately stored him in my house. It’s probably boring as hell for him, but at least he’s alive.

Look I don't know if you know this or not you don't know it on this post but you need to sell cigarettes clothes or armere.drugs whatever you can pull off a dead body and sell it to get medical help or bullets this can save your life just helpful advice

I can see if you like the other fallouts better but if you’ve played both games and know how an good rpg works you know that 3 can’t possibly be better than nv at that? I mean you can claim it’s the better can I’d obviously say ur wrong but you’d have to agree it’s a way better rpg even if your a fan boy
