let us discover the Legend of the Boston mayoral shelter! As you can imagine, this video took a long time to create (I enjoyed every moment). This is actually how I play the game when first encountering a dungeon, I'm basically thinking out loud. It results in a long video, and I’m interested to know if you guys like this kind of thing. There is not allot of action, it is more lore focused. It is quite difficult to please a large audience as you can imagine, some weeks you may get weapons, videos aimed at beginners (of which there are many btw) or even locations like this one. Right now I’m studying architecture at uni full time, in my final year. As I'm’m sure you can all appreciate this means I have many time constraints, so please understand when I make shorter videos. It can be difficult to maintain a channel and achieve good results. Your understanding is all i ask for, thanks.

the teddy bears take the place of dead children, really changes the way you think about some places

anyone else get that eerie feeling in they're gut when the monkey activated and the synth said "Now U must die" at like, THE EXACT MOMENT the monkey activated.

First I really like this video, and I think you should do more of them if you want. Second about the teddy bear on the wheel chair, with the camera, this is a reference to Franklin Roosevelt, or FDR. The 32nd president of the united states, He suffered from some illness usually said to be polio, new research often suggest other diseases though. FDR went to great lengths to hide this from public view, he was know to only mention it in public once, while speaking before congress a month before he died. I believe they used a teddy bear because Theodore Roosevelt, who was Franklin's fifth cousin, was the 26nd president of the united states. Theodore Roosevelt was often called by a nickname "Teddy," which is why I believe they used the stuffed bear, to make you think of "Teddy" Roosevelt, which would lead you to Franklin Roosevelt. Thank you for posting. I've missed this on my play throughs. Nice to know there are still new areas to discover. Definitely a dark, desperate story about what happened to Boston's mayor and his family, that despite their careful planning, they wouldn't be okay. This is definitely the type of story you expect during the apocalypse.

I like the idea of these sorts of videos. If you want action, you can just go to any random video of Fallout 4 and watch action. What makes this channel unique and very interesting and informative is the fact that there is more focus on lore and less focus on the action.

I just did a brotherhood mission at this place, I knew there was some lore to it thanks for explaining it eso.

I found a good 44. Called The Gainer, it's in an unmarked location called PumpHouse. It's to the right of Finch Farm at the end of a road to that leads to the water towards finch farm.

Captain here: if you talk to proctor quinlin in the Prydwen and ask to accompany a research patrol, one of them would lead you and your scribe here... Nothing really peculiar or strange that stood out in the process of doing so, but there were a few turrets when I was there a while back...

I know this is an old video, one thing I've noticed is that they use those space monkey dolls for dead children in some places, and teddy bears for dead babies. They're found in children's rooms in hospitals, etc where kids would have died when the bombs went off. They're in other places too, but I did notice that is a recurring theme. Like the teddy bear with the rattle in the wheelchair. There is also a crib in one room, I suspect the mob broke in. When the bomb went off, the heat and shockwaves from the bomb rushed downwards, and since they had dug into the lowest levels, the explosions of the nukes killed everyone inside. The older children were in the gym probably, and there is a skull and some hand bones randomly around, possibly the remains of the children. Also the hole in the wall. I don't think it was the Deathclaw who dug it. The soldier likely fell down into that space, and in desperation, used his one shot with his launcher to breach the wall, hoping to survive. When the blast that killed everyone went off, he doomed the Mayor's family instead, as the hole in the wall, or at least the cracked cement, could not withstand it. It then blew inward, killing the children in the gym. The brahmin likely fell down in recently, and the deathclaw, following the smell of fresh meat, end3ed up trapped in the pit as well. Not too long ago, unless it can squeeze like a hamster, that hole is small.

I love the lore videos. I don't have a good enough laptop or desktop to play fallout 4 on a regular basis. Though I do get to play it when I'm visiting my boyfriend. Your lore videos and playthroughs give me something to look forward to when I do get to play.

All thoe little bunkers(like the one seen at the end) are part of a unmarked locator quest. Those radio towers you find throughout the map once activated will boost the single from 3(usually) ham radios located in bunkers like that. Iv found 2-3 radio boosters and all the assorted bunkers so far. I believe the one for that bunker is slightly east of the dam.

There is also a coupon machine up in the northwest by a metro-station, it sells fusion cores and there is a raider in power armour nearby.

This is way i love your videos i never would have considered google searching this shelter to see if it matches up with real world history just figured it was a misc add on for the game to give you another area to explore makes me want to do a search on other areas in the game now

I always took it as the mayor making the shelter, but his wife leaving him because he didn't help out the citizens and abused his position, interesting to see how different someone else took it. I loved seeing this, make more if you feel like ever doing it

+ESO -In the elevator with the hatch open have you tried jumping while it starts to go down? Maybe the designers wanted to put a physics easter egg in.

Deathclaws are a result of radioactive mutation and probably appeared decades after the war, so the wife was already long dead. And I remember having seen small skeletons in the game.

The siege of this bunker most likely took place some time right after the bombs fell. The Mob was probably made up of people from one of the near by towns. Its unlikely that anyone from the Bunker would have survived the attack. But I could see the Mob sparing the kids.

the synths pop up some times because they are trying to fortify or reclaim the base for themselves so they can recapture the commonwealth or at least that is what I think :3

for the first video, It's actually a mission given by the brotherhood so you can understand the clue more

I'm not allies with the Institute, but was able to open the tunnel hatch from the inside. I did the bunker backwards starting in the gym lol.

You should check out the mirrors on the restrooms too they provide Medical needs and sometimes bobby pins

I personally love fallout lore because sometimes it's grim and creepy and others its very very detailed. But in most open worlds the lore is decent, but Bethesda seems to make it just perfect.

What smg are you using or what perks do you need

Lots of elevator hatches can be opened. The chance of a legendary is a set occurrence depending on difficulty level. You are guaranteed to get one every X number of mobs. I think on survival it is like 1 every 5. And I love lore vids keep them coming.

When exiting and re-entering a terminal don't pick a random three. Do the first three each time and I guarantee you'll hack in at least 3 tries. It's simple game theory that your odds go up in a game of chance if you pick the same numbers each time.

The first time I explored this I never saw the vid so the synths appearing out of no wear terrified me when I played it

You need to consider a lot of area's have been tampered with after the base radiation levels cleared E.G by the institute synths this shelter was never meant for long term survival like the vault tec projects It appears there was a lot of suicide in this shelter when supplies dwindled or from reason of depression. but in this case you where on point with breaching points of the shelter.

The key to the shelter is in West Everett Estates, guarded by super mutants.

There's also a deathclaw there in the level where synth's are also in just go to a broken wall and you see there's a broken part up the silling and you'll find a DEATHCLAW

You should always search the mirrors they usually have stimpaks or bobby pins

at one point befor going down in to the shelter you say that you have not been down there befor and while you are down there you already know witch way to go?

Yo quick tip, if you see an toilet mirror, sometimes theres loot in it aswell
