The item that Lucy injected herself with is called a Stimpak. Depending on how injured your character is in the games, you use these and completely heal yourself. Ella Purnell (Lucy) has been acting since she was a child. The shows/movies she is best known for is Yellow Jackets and the voice of Jinx in Netflix's adaptation of Arcane: League of Legends.

Both shows would be instantly familiar to those who played the games. TLOU players would generally know how the show's going to go. Fallout players won't, which imho gives that show a storytelling advantage.

Tlou has the emotional weight though I played the game and the show was too similar. Fallout has a great world. Like sixties sci-fi. Reminds me of westworld at times especially the ghoul vs man in black, and an optimistic, naive female protagonist,

The story in the game Last of us and in the tv show is the same. The fallout story in the show is original so in my opinion its way better. I love the fallout franchis and i like the last of us.
