Y'know I get that's a joke but we're not far away from that. Deepfakes and whatnot, I could see a day (and soon) where something like that is available. Especially on high-end PCs, games are to the point where in-game cinematics rendered in real-time can look very convincing, even photorealistic. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to put all the pieces together. Photorealistic 3D rendering, TTS AI to simulate actor's voices. Build your own movie scene, play it out in real-time.

If this isn't a brutal horror series where we see the twisted experiments done on the forgotten vaults, then they're missing out. Some of the best lore is inside those terminals of workers confessing to stuff. Vaults with too many people and not enough food, vaults where they turned everyone in plant monsters, vaults that have never been opened before... etg

Trick question, because NOBODY played Fallout 76. We tried, but then just replayed Fallout 4 for the 18th time. Same guy though. Stephen Russell voiced all Codsworth and Mr Handys from Fallout III onward. He was also Nick Valentine! Nothing to do with this production though.

I bet they're saving that for the opening of the first episode. They could open with the video ad for the vault, then show Goggins trying to get his kid into the shelter as the nukes fall, they get caught in the blast as everything goes dark and transition into... "War... War never changes..." We then get our glorious Ron Perlman speech and introduction to life in Vault 33.

Their production designers have NAILED the look of the game. I’m not just talking about the costumes or the weapons - I’m talking about how even the MAILBOXES outside the vault rooms are IDENTICAL to ones you can use when building settlements in Fo4. And I’ve got 1200+ hours invested in Fo4 - and a good portion of those hours has been spent in settlement building. (Yes, I’m one of those weirdos who will spend tons of time ignoring thr main quests because I’m too busy building my Nuka-Towers apartment complex at Fiddler’s Green…where I can build because I also play with a shitton of mods.)

It is one of my biggest reasons to believe this show is NOTHING but memberberries and no actual care for what established lore we had. Shady Sands was made AFTER the bombs, not before. Shady Sands was also more likely to have been ditched as a name - aside from historical - when they went from Shady Sands to NCR. It also implies that they have no idea where or how NCR came to be and probably has little to no relation with Shady Sands in the show. The main problem with this is that Bethesda said that lore in the show will be lore for the franchise. So basically this showing of the sign saying Shady Sands is far more of a red flag than anything else.

This show takes place after Fallout 4. If Shady Sands is a crater, then it can only mean that it got cratered recently. Who bombed it? It might have been the Brotherhood of Steel. It might have been one of the missiles launched from the Divide in the New Vegas game. It might have been a wacky accident. I guess we'll find out, but we do know that this is not an error.

I'm sorry Torque, but I gotta agree with Havoc. Westworld was a mess. It was a great premise, which was turned into a prolonged, meandering plotline. Don't get me wrong, there are elements of that show I love. Anthony Hopkins delivers some killer performances. The other actors as well are all very committed to their roles. And the production quality is very good, at least for the first two seasons. It was, however, a terrible show. I liked the idea of liking it.

This actually looks good. Like one of the few things done right recently.. That cast ! I am always happy to see Walton Goggins. He is such a great actor and literally perfect for any role - but this fits so well.. He's an incredible character actor. One of the best imo recently (or at all) being "Baby Billy" In The Righteous Gemstones. Can't wait for this tbh! hope it doesn't disappoint. The New Vegas stuff was especially exciting💛💛💛💛 ( I do wish they had done a slightly better job on the costumes somewhat - but i can live with it. )
