For more nuclear apocalyptic media, there is Weird Al Yankovic's 1986 song, "Christmas At Ground Zero". And Nena's "99 Red Balloons", a song about a nuclear war accidentally triggered by the innocent release of 99 Red balloons near a hostile nation's border resulting in WWIII.

There are women in the Brotherhood of Steel in the games, and I think you can see some among the extras in this. They are predominantly male though.

If someone asks the waiters at a restaurant to sing happy birthday to you, noone is having fun except for the person who asked them to do it. Not the Birthday girl or boy, not their family, not the waiters and not the other people in the restaurant. Just that one BLEEPer who asked them to, that's for sure.

@@Grimbol There's an apocalyptic film called "Greenland" (2020). In one scene the main character and his family are summoned by phone to an emergency government bunker and instructed specifically to bring no one else. As they start to drive away, their next door neighbor, a woman stops their car and begs them to take her daughter to the Bunker (the apocalyptic event has already occurred and was shown on their TV). She screams and begs the protagonist to take her daughter, but he refuses as he had been ordered to do so. Personally I would have taken the girl in the hopes that the Bunker guard would show some mercy on her and let her in. She is after all a female child, someone strongly needed to eventually repopulate a destroyed world. But the worst case scenario is that the mother would be left with some tiny hope while her child would unfortunately be left outside the Bunker doors during the global catacysm.

Regarding your interest in the franchise, although the show gives a general look into the world and themes of Fallout, the games each tend to have very different tones, atmosphere, stories, writing, and gameplay to one another. I know this sounds pretty vague from the way I'm describing it, but you'll understand if you ever get around to them.

Is it just me or are there no bombs to be seen, that fall to the ground, before the explosion? Looks like the bombs were not dropped to me, but detonated on the ground. Could this be an hint to the ending of season 1? *spoiler ahead* Did Vault Tec maybe place the bombs inside the city? Maybe this was the start of the war? The US is already in a state of awaiting the nuclear war, so if a city is destroyed, they would start their weapons (maybe in panic) ?

You won’t be able to see it falling that far away. Go look at some archival footage of nuke drop tests, you won’t see the bombs in those either.
