Here it is, the 100th episode or "FamiFundred" as I like to call it. For the last one, it's Top 100 Japanese Exclusives, or more accurately Top 50 Super Famicom + Top 40 Famicom + Top 10 Famicom Disk System games.
The first half of every list will be just the games with the best song from the game in question, the second half is the same thing but also with me talking.
Enjoy the games, I know I did.

The End, and thanks to everyone who joined the premiere and the chat. Peaking at 10 viewers at the same time might sound like nothing(which it is from a certain point of view) but I choose to see it the other way, with gratefulness. THANK YOU.

YT just has no clue how to promote genuinely great and passionate content. Look at how few subs and views the almighty Chrontendo has, for example! Being underwatched is practically a badge of honor on a platform like this. If you were popular, your stuff would be obnoxious trash by necessity.

So many games on this list that aren't covered much at all elsewhere in English. Many that I want to try for myself, though as I get older I find myself just watching them on youtube :( Thanks so much for this great series, Johan!

I found a few more games that I didn't see in the several other videos I watched on this subject, so thank you. I also found it really interesting to see the developer counts at the end. Konami made so many good games that never made it out of the country! I wonder if this is because they catered more directly/exclusively to the Japanese people than other developers, or if there was some other major reason.

@@AvengingEnder Either that or they were hindered by Nintendo's policy of not being able to release more than X amount of games per year

@@Protoman85 Oh that's interesting. Maybe there was some restriction similar to that with releasing games overseas. Seems plausible.

I love how unpredictable this list is. Won’t say a word about the rankings, I bet all the games are good. So there IS an Ultraman game for Famicom worth playing? I’ll have to look closer on that one. Cocoron is very cool. The only time I tried it I built a barely playable hero, I wasn’t good enough to beat the first boss. Will have to return to this. Mitsume Ga Tooruu is my most wanted Famicom game. Looks like a really good action platformer. Hey, that Donald Duck game for SFC looks very odd! Caught my interest, another one I wasn’t aware of. I have a similar opinion on Umihara Kawaze, can’t handle that fishing rod but the game is fascinating! Papuwa-kun was one of my top priorities when I visited Japan. Seems like I made a good choice. I had bought the excellent Hamelin no Violin from the same developer years prior. I also picked up Shubibinman Zero at Trader, very fun co-op indeed! Does Panel de Pon count as an exclusive? I play it a lot with my girlfriend, but well, there is Tetris Attack. Tetris Battle Gaiden also lives up to it’s reputation, the characters have fun special abilities. I’m no good at shooters, but love Gajiukin Parodius just the same!

Great series mate! Can't wait to see what you come up with next and I hope it catches on but you're right, just gotta do it because you love it! Maybe there are some SEO opportunities to increase your reach. Let me know if you'd ever be interested in doing a collaboration of some sort. PS you were missing Dragon Quest 5 and 6 for Super Famicom :).

@@Protoman85 Could be fun to rank the 11 mainline Mega Man games from least favorite to favorite? I did replay them all when 11 came out so they are fresh in my mind. I know someone else that has played them all that could provide an additional insight.

I wonder... are there any sales lists for these games online, do you know? The best I could find was just the top 50 games in terms of sales, but it would be interesting to know how these Famicom/Super Famicom games in particular sold in Japan; as in, whether they were popular, or rather niche usually. I know that some games, like Famicom Jump or (more obviously) Final Fantasy 2 and 3/Romancing Saga 1, 2, 3, sold extremely well there, even though they weren't released abroad, but I am really curious about the SFC/FC RPGs in particular.
