My parents are wonderful, but they never would support me (which I don't need now that I'm an adult, obviously) in my creative dreams...It must be so nice to have that solidness behind you, even if you never end up being any good. Love these two together!

Having support from family or anyone is so important to any dream- Wish I had had some- my family did everything to discourage anything but menial labor "if you loved what you were doing it wasn't real work" , I didn't start to follow my dream until my late 40's but 10 yrs later I'm still learning and loving every minute of it-- (I still get the "it's not real work" lecture but I'm past falling for the guilt trip schemes. Ron you are film genius, just keep spreading the art.

She'll be in the Director's chair now, just like her Daddy. She's a delicate beauty but it's her talent that wow's me. I think she'll be a force like Jessica Tandy!

She talks about Ron underselling himself by claiming he has a strong collaborators. But I think that's the key to everything. Even if you are a manager at a small business, you need to collect a good group of workers, treat them right, support them and trust them to do their job. The difficult part is finding those good workers and recognizing them.

It appears that Ron Howard is much the same as he was as Richie in Happy Days. What a wonderful human being. God bless you.

It's incredibly telling re: Ron Howard's reputation as a Hollywood icon and family man that this video has been out for over four years, and has (as of this writing) 580 likes and ZERO dislikes.

The entire family is just amazing , sometimes I wish I had a dad like Ron, he has always been the same guy always kind always respectful takes time to talk to people instead of blowing them off , a real down to earth kind of guy , I've been following Ron for a long time since he was a little boy , always knew that little boy would be doing great with his life .

Wonderful family. And so talented. I'm a child of the 60's. Opie was a kid my size on TV. Who would have known Ron Howard would be someone not only spoken about, but admired and loved half a century later.

I think Lots of people knew. He was so good in that role that it could be seen. I was surprised that he went into other things, but why not? :) And he's as well spoken of, if not More, in those things as well.

I always have been a Ron Howard and Clint Howard fan! One of the things I admire about Ron is that he always believed in his family coming first. So it's no wonder why in the majority of films Ron directed, people will find family members of his featured in them.

You know someone is a good actor when you have strong feelings about them when the movie is over. I hated the character she played in The Help which is exactly what I was supposed to feel towards her. The made the character believable. I loved that movie mostly because of his deeply I felt about how awful she was - not as an actress but as a character. Good Job. You come from good stock Bryce.
