Getting to RV Camp at Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park was such a great opportunity! This Vancouver Island Campground, and BC Provincial Park is located so close to the Nanaimo Ferry Terminal which made it and easy family RV travel day with Chloe to get to and yet it is also so worth the visit. The sites are private and laid out with intention, making for a much more private campground than some of the places we've done RV camping at all lined up in rows. It also has some AMAZING scenery and the picture perfect clear rivers and waterfalls are remarkable. It really makes for a great introduction to arriving and camping on Vancouver Island.
We loved being able to spend some rv family time here too. It's close to Coombs Goats on the Roof we wanted to show Chloe and is also close to the town of Parksville which made getting groceries and shopping for all the other odds and ends we needed super convenient. There will be so many more beautiful Vancouver Island Campgrounds to come to as we continue to share one of BC's most iconic areas. It's also a condensed beauty so you don't have to do four hour RV travel days to get to your location which is also a bonus!
Thanks for joining us on today's Family RV Life vlog and we hope to catch you for our next weekly vlog Sunday! Cheers friends,
Luke and Alysha 😃🍁

Hi everyone! Just a heads up, we will be switching to Sunday's as our weekly upload day again now for the Fall/Winter season. Sorry we've had to miss the occasional upload week as well. Thanks for stopping by though and happy time change day to all of you who also partake in it out there!(Although it's going to be a dark winter now!..) Luke and Alysha 🍁

I cannot wait to visit the beauty of Canada! Thanks for sharing your travels. Chloe’s getting so big with her chatting about water and bugs! She’s beautiful.

It was fun seeing you enjoy that beautiful park again, this time with Chloe! Hardly seems possible that the short, dark, cold days are here already, but before we know it, it will be spring and time for more adventures. Have a safe winter and stay warm 😊

It sure got cold quick hey Lori! It was such a nice warm fall up here and then all of a sudden we hit this deep freeze we are now in. This sure was a fun year of big travels and adventure for us though. Chloe has been developing and growing so fast lately it seems and has learnt so many new words, perhaps all the life experience has helped her! Spoiler but she's going to be walking on the vlog soon and it's been so fun!! 🍁

OK, I must say it again. Ya'll are the best parents ever. Teaching Chloe to eat what you eat is priceless. She will be so well rounded. Her information base is already beyond incredible. I am glad you compared this to Jasper. We are planning next summer's trip, and Banff area seems overwhelming. The website says you need to schedule shuttle rides. For someone who knows very little about the area, shuttle map is confusing. I think we may go to Vancouver Island 1st and try Icefield Parkway later.

Hey guys! Yeah Chloe has done so great these trips and is hopefully taking in all of it. She sure has been learning a lot of words and new skills lately. Perhaps all the travel and life experiences are helping out. Spoiler alert but she'll be walking on the vlog pretty soon now!! So exciting. Banff and Jasper certainly can get busy but still pretty manageable. Would love to try Jasper again with the truck now to get around a little easier rather than parking the Class C in all the busy trail and walk areas. Can't go wrong if you do the Island first though. So many beautiful areas and Ocean vibes, and it's all so condensed which is nice to not have to have big driving days or anything. Anywhere you choose to go in BC shouldn't disappoint though! 🍁

So great to see the rushing water with having such a dry summer here. We love that spot for walking and seeing the falls but we have never camped there. I think we SHOULD! 🇨🇦❤

It's such a peaceful and well laid out campground! Also hasn't seemed to ever be too busy for walking around which is also a nice perk 🍁

One of our favourite Island parks. We spent our 50th anniversary here in June. I have a list of favourite site numbers. We are lucky to call the Island home. Great video as always!

Oh congratulations, happy big anniversary to you guys! This is a nice spot to spend it for sure, and good call having a list of favorite sites on hand. We also mean to start a book with our favorite site numbers in it and then end up not getting around to it and being forced to go off of memory haha. Maybe next year! 🍁

What a gorgeous place❤️‼️ I would love to see it. Take care, see you soon. I agree you guys are excellent parents. Alysha, I'm sad you are feeling so run down. I know it's very difficult being a mother especially out on the road the way you guys are right now. You don't really have a support system around you just each other. I wish I could be Chloe's grandma in the RV park next to you and I could babysit her while you guys have some time to yourselves once in awhile. ❣️💯🙋

It's definitely been a big year for us with so much travel and moving, but at least being back in BC we found some time to slow it down a little. With so much to see and limited time in the USA it felt like we had to see so much with everything around us. Thanks Teresa! 🍁

We finally made it home by November 1. Thanks for the heads up and the roof video you shared with us at Homolovi SP. We did get a new sprayed on roof from Flex Armor before getting to home base. We will be heading up towards Acadia Natl Park May 1 2023. Hope to see you guys again soon!

Hey hey Luis! Good to see you man and happy to hear they got everything sorted out for you. Settling in for some warmth now hey? Sounds nice with the colder fronts we've been having lately. Guess you have had some rougher weather systems passing through I see too, so to each their own I suppose! Was great bumping in to you guys this year and nicely done on your big RV trip, quite the year of memories! 🍁

ahhh .... NOW your back to beautiful B.C., on your way to my place of origin, gawds country. When you get to Tofino, look across the water to Opitsaht, my rez. (a little biased here, lol) Little Qualicum is stunning. Miss Choe is darn adorable, a born camper!

Had to take in some BC this year too right! So many nice areas to see and enjoy. Unfortunately didn't make the trek to Tofino way in the end this year though. Pacific Rim National Park didn't have any bookings when we had started planning our trip and there really isn't much else for camping otherwise it seems. Hopefully sometime soon again though! 🍁

Love your videos! Have been watching you for the past two years. Your cross Canada trip caught our eye. Love to see Canadians promoting our great country. You have inspired us to take on our own trip across Canada next summer/fall. Want to spend time in the Rockies and BC. Any suggestions for provincial or national parks in the area? We suggested your videos to our travel partners. They loved all the meals you cook on the blackstone so much, they bought one 🤓. Keep sharing. Your videos are informative and well done.

Thanks guys, love to hear it's helping inspire and show some of the beautiful areas to check out! We've done a few different playlists of the loops we've done over the year but none should disappoint. Mt Robson has some pretty nice new sites with Electric options right below the AMAZING Mt Robson and makes for a great stop outside of Jasper on the BC side. Everywhere we've stopped is all pretty great though. Thanks for watching, happy planning and safe travels! 🍁

That is a beautiful park! I visited Vancouver Island quite a few years ago, but not camping. We drove to Tofino which was incredibly beautiful. We saw so much sea life and the beaches and tidepools were great. Looking forward to seeing more of your island travels. I want to do a camping trip up to Banff, Jasper, and Vancouver Island in the next couple years.

It's a hidden little gem just off the road here for sure. Such a peaceful and not too busy of a spot too which is nice. Glad you've gotten to have some experience taking in the Island vibes as well out on it. Whether you get to the Rockies, Island or both you'll certainly love it. Some of the best camping and views in Canada if I do say so myself! 🍁

@@LukeandAlysha I have skied in Banff backi n the 80's and Whistler in the 90's (yes, I'm old now), but have always wanted to return in the summer! Awesome scenery, especially for a mountain person. Thanks again for sharing and I appreciate the details you provide on the campgrounds!
