Thanks for the video instructions. Easy to install, just like your demonstrated. This Dometic product is more higher than some others ones. Perfect for an automatic opening Fantastic Fan Vent installed on my RV.

Quick question have to noticed the cover making noise when going down the road or when it is windy outside? Not sure why they use clips instead of threads with bolt to hold it down would seem to be be able to secure it better without vibration wiggle room.

We can't say that we have heard it making any noise. Of course there is enough noise going on up front with the gas engine there. :)

Thanks for the reply about driving but what about when camping when it is windy. Hopefully the answer will be the same....lol... was just wondering because I am thinking about getting one:)

We have never heard any noise from them. Ours are on tight and don't wiggle. If you install one and feel it's loose throw another washer on it to keep the pin tight. We think they stay quiet. Now the flap for the vent above our stove, behind the microwave, on a windy day is another story. We will be working on a solution to that soon. :)

Good video! Are the brackets stainless steel?

Thanks Scott. Great question and you got me on it, because I wasn't sure. :) I researched it a bit, then I called the company. The tech had to look it up too. :) The answer is, no, they are not stainless steel, they are raw steel that has been treat to prevent rust. Earlier versions had just the steel brackets, but an issue with rust developed that caused the company to get the brackets from another company that treats the steel. Our brackets are holding up fine. Hope that helps you. :)

I like cover but not how brackets work. Don’t like drilling into roof . Other makes have brackets that drill into metal side of fan side
