Fandango is the best movie I have seen about that period between leaving high school and going off to whatever you will become. They do a perfect job of showing some of the growing. The music seems melded into the movie. They did a fantastic job choosing the music, especially the Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays.

Incredible scene from a vastly underrated movie.

A masterpiece of youth movies that many young people remember even in Japan. Best scene in that movie. No matter how many times I see it, I am moved. Even now, there are many Japanese who put it in the No. 1 movie.

I saw this film with my room mate my last year of college. I became obsessed with Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays and jazz as a direct result of this scene. I also can't watch this without tearing up. Greatest film ever made? No. My favorite? Probably yeah

One of my favourite endings EVER.

I saw this movie in NYC by total chance when it came out, what, 35 years ago or so? But I have never ever forgotten the beauty of its last ten minutes. Deeply moving and graceful, so all credit to the writer, the actors, Metheny and Mays, and the director Kevin Reynolds.

A perfectly realized movie moment, full of repressed passion and unrequited love, set to the magical sound of Pat and Lyle. Brilliant scene.

In 1990 Dances With Wolves cleaned up at the Oscars. In 1997 Titanic did the same. Costner was in Dances and Amis was in Titanic. Both here in their first real movie.

Saw this when it first came out....I want everyone in the world to see this film...it’s a life reference.!!!!

IT'S LIKE A DREAM, Every time I hear this song it stays with me for days. I've enjoyed all the music Lyle Mays created and all of the live performances I saw over the years. He will be missed

Hearing this music and graphics it all. reminds me of back home on the rezervation, cause we are like 20 years behind in some cases. Even as a teenager I helped gave my old VHS to the elderly, and its all just gives me back home vibes 😊
