I think most of us felt the same way as you Alex, but we can hold our heads up in singing the Preston fans out of the park. 🙂

Gutted with result today. Was very amped up pre-game expecting the boys to turn up but we were beyond poor in the first. Preston just sat on us with the most static press I’ve ever seen but it sure did work, we very much played into their hands with how slowly we were moving the ball at the back in the first half, and for me Hladky and Edmundson were the key culprits, simply refusing to miss a line sometimes is frustrating if us fans can see it from the stands. I thought Jackson was awful, and the fact that we had no outlet I feel played on the mind of our CB’s and Luongo/Morsy because we simply didn’t know what to do with the ball and that gave Preston confidence to just sit on us and wait for us to overplay and give it away. Second half we were a completely different team, Kieffer changed everything and we got back at them with some physicality and shithousery which they were putting on us all throughout the 1st half. When we had that outlet, we were far more dangerous, and Chaplin, Clarke, Burnsy and Leif all came into the game. Thought Omari and Al-Hammadi were decent when they came on as well, and Kieffer was obviously top tier. What does frustrate is why we didn’t start the game like that, surely McKenna must have known Kieffer is far more of a threat than Jackson who’s bagged 29 goals in 5 seasons, and regularly puts in stinkers. Frustrating, but thought the fans were absolutely class today, we were the only voice inside Deepdale even at 3-0 down and we stood behind the boys who gave us something to shout about in the 2nd half. We really need to steady the ship in the next couple of weeks and a tough game against WBA coming up, but this is just the championship run-in, it’s a brutal league and a few bad results on the spin and you find yourselves 2 places down all of a sudden. P.S the ref was an absolute bellend.

Seemed like a combination of poor defending, bad luck and an old player coming back to haunt us. We are becoming easy to play against with the painfully slow passing from the back, only works if you move the ball quickly.
