Grindelwald didn't die...we see him in the Harry Potter movies, he is the one Voldemort asks about the wand and he says "it lies with him, of course".

It's interesting how the blood pact was destroyed after Albus and Aberforth went to protect Credence from Gellert. The pact was that Albus and Gellert couldn't hurt each other. However, in that moment, Albus DID attack Gellert, but not to hurt him, but to protect Credence, what caused the pact to be rendered void. What's interesting is that moment mirrors the one that caused the death of Ariana (Dumbledore's younger sister), as Albus, Aberforth and Gellert went into a three-way combat where the result was Ariana's death, with no one of the three knowing whose spell hit her.

Despite what others say, I still quite enjoyed the film series. I really enjoyed the action of the magic and the creatures. The backstory of Albus, Grindlewald, Aberforth, and Credence was great to explore. I loved Newt’s fantastic creatures, his relationship with Tina, but I really loved Jacob and Queenie’s love story. I also think Mads did a great job as Grindlewald. While I understand people have different opinions about him and prefer Johnny, I like to think that it’s unfair to place blame on Mads when it was clearly the producers fault for assuming Johnny was guilty and letting the personal vendetta of a Prima Donna dictate their decisions. They might as well been under Grindlewald’s control let alone Voldemort’s. 🪄🦄🔥👌🧑🏼‍🦱👩🏻‍🦱👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️

I’m kind of upset that people told you before you watched this movie that he is Albus Dumbledores nephew when that’s what this movies plot is meant to reveal

Not a book series. Just films. Everything is still up in the air on weather we will get another movie but originally there were 5 planned. It’s supposed to lead up to the final battle between Dumbledore and Grindlewald which leads to Dumbledore winning the elder wand from him.

I have an extremely unpopular opinion and I think this is the best movie of the three. It has Laly's presentation, which is fantastic, we see a serious Grindelwald, character progression, etc. But there are errors....They forgot Nagini and Flamel (Tina's actress couldn't record at the time, so she doesn't appear much, as far as I remember, so makes sense I'm her case). Minerva shouldn't even be alive there, and to make matters worse, Bunty asks for 6 copies...Would it be 7 then? Where's the other briefcase? That phrase from the movie makes no sense. The architecture of Hogwarts is also wrong in this one...The place where the requirement room is in this movie is actually the infirmary, wing attached to the clock tower (The lighting in the Great Hall was also terrible). The saddest thing for me was the fact that they promised that most of this movie would be set in Brazil, and instead, they literally showed 1.5 seconds of the country, in a flash. It wasn't even shown any speeches by the candidates, what they defend, not even speeches they are entitled to. Not even the winner, who only had one meaningless sentence. But even with all that, it's a nice movie, it brings things new and old, politicized the wizarding world a bit more, which is great for the context of the time, and it was nice see it. I hope there are the other two movies, that the holes are fixed and that there are no things dropped from that third part. Vicência Santos has been dropped enough on this one, but is now head of International Confederation of Wizards, so hopefully her victory will have consequences for the future of history.

Queenie kinda looks like a prisoner of Grindlewald. She doesn’t seem happy being around him and feels like she’s just being used. I also found it interesting that Creedence (Aurelius) followed Grindlewald after how he treated him in the first film. Only wanted him for his power tossed him aside when he thought he had no power. Grindlewald at the end disapparated to some other location.

This video by Harry Potter Theory "Who Was a BETTER Grindelwald? Johnny Depp VS Mads Mikkelsen" basically sums up the actor change. Also the debate of which actors portrayal of Grindelwald is better, the comments under the video all make very valid points. So this isn’t in any of the HP movies or books if I remember correctly but J.K. herself said that in fact Dumbledore is gay. Not that it’s important weather he is or isn’t but it’s just a small bit of information to know.

I like these movies, but the time is messed up. I hope there is at least one more movie to fix the time problems. McGonnagal can not be a teacher during this time.

And if anyone wants to know why Depp isn't in this one.... two words.... Amber Heard. I sure hope that someday they continue this series, but from what I've read, it's not likely. It didn't get the traction that the Potter series did, then there was the whole thing with J.K.Rowling and the statements she made, and then Warner Brothers pulled the plug on everything. Supposedly they're planning on refocusing on the Potter series but I don't know if I'd go for that. I mean, the people we've come to know and love as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Neville... they can never be replaced, so I definitely think they could never try to recast any of them if they declined. We've lost Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane, Helen McCrory to name just a few... plus the ones who have retired from acting... face it, it wouldn't be the Weasley household without Julie Walters saying, at least once, "where HAVE you been?"

The other 2 films have been shelved by Warner Brothers because of poor audiance attendance. Part of problem is that JK Rowling did the screen writting instead of doing what's she's best at: writting books

My conflict with this series, and Dumbledore, is that in this series he's dressed in casual "muggle" clothing of that time period, and in the original series you see Dumbledore ALWAYS dressed in wizard's robes. This seems to be a continuity error in writing this new series.
