This event (Reckoning War) was 10 years in the making...good to see it finally happen. They also announced the Judgment Day Event, which is a crossover between Eternals, X-Men and Avengers...this has been implied from even way before...since Jack Kirby's run in 1976. And it's finally being solved, Arishem will officially Judge the Earth

The Judgment of Arishem over Earth was done in the Roy Thomas' (iirc) Thor run from the 70's. Besides, there are no more celestials on earth 616 nowadays, they all died

Dan Slott’s been building to this for YEARS! Ever since his run on She-Hulk. So many hints throughout his time at Marvel and now those seeds start to bear its fruit.

It took 17 years just for them to set this up in the comics so 10 for the MCU still feels like that would be a rush. so as much as I'd love to see this eventually be adapted, Marvel needs to stop adapting stories that came AFTER the MCU until they delve more into comics that came BEFORE the MCU

Fun fact: The Fantastic 4 were the 1st ever Marvel team to be created. Most people assume that The Avengers came first, or were Marvel Comics’ answer to DC’s Justice League. However, both of those titles go to The Fantastic Four, which, with its 1961 debut, was the very first team of superheroes created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

When this event was mentioned back in a 2006 She-Hulk issue, they said it would happen just two years into the future, and longer than two years have passed in the Marvel Universe since then. I wonder if we'll get an in-universe explanation for the delay?

Sliding time-scale. Remember the Marvel universe was destroyed during Secret Wars (2), then rebuilt, it's LONG time in-universe!

@@matthewloh19 secret wars 2 happened in 2014-15 iirc, reckoning war was implied to be 2 years after 2006 she hulk i.e 2008

@@matthewloh19 yes but canoniclly it's been 3-4 years in-universe since she was told that. In the real world it's been about 16-17, but she was specifically told it happened 2 years in the future, yet in many comics since then, there have been references that used specific time frames like "2 years ago" where they show events that happened long after She-Hulk found out about the Reckoning War. Sliding timescale or not, the timeline doesn't match up.
