I remember back in season 1 when Nanachi said how most delvers would simply kill a companion that went hollow, I just thought it was because they were fearful and ignorant. After seeing Mitty and now Irumyuui in such a state, I'm really starting to believe most of those instances were mercy-kills.

I think one of irumyuui's wishes was to be with Vueko forever. so when she started getting sick and on deaths bed, so did her. but the first egg broke after the amalgamation of wishes came to together to one big monkeys paw. so wazu gave her the second one and one wish was for a way for vueko to get better. well thats sacrificing the life of her still breathing children in return for the supernatural remedy for the sickness thats going on

I thought nothing could top my hatred of Bondrewd. Wazukyan and the villagers who banished Irumyuii? I wish they suffered in their last moments.

Even more so than Bondrewd, Wazukyan is very much an 'ends justify the means' sort. Due to his prophetic powers, he *knows* everything will work out and so isn't really bothered by anything that happens. Also, while obviously not the result of the 6th Layer's Curse, I'm not really sure there's much difference between the inhabitants of Iruburu and other Hollows. They willingly gave up parts of themselves to acquire bodies capable of survival in the Abyss (Well, Irumyuui's womb, at least). Effectively, accepting a Curse in exchange for an equivalent Blessing.

For me Made in Abyss is very good in terms of characterization, we see cruel circumstances and choices, but people still keep going into the abyss
